It's strange for some reason Live Era seems to go for around $100 US or more. I know it's 2 vinyls but still. I guess they just may not have been produced in big quantities. I'll keep an eye out for one at a good price!

Did you have a copy of GREATEST HITS in Vinyl??? I never saw it!! I want it!! please could you put some pictures and info about it? Thanks and congraulations!
I don't believe GH was ever released on vinyl. I've certainly never seen it for sale or in anyone elses collection.

Yeah there was a guy in the US selling a heap of rare GNR stuff on behalf of someone else. He wouldn't ship outside the US so another collector bought it for me and shipped it on.
Things like this I am always wary about authenticity etc, but the guy was selling a heap of rare collectible stuff, promo stuff etc etc, many things I had only seen a few times before, so I was reasonably confident.
A few months prior he had actually sold Adler's drum head from the WTTJ video - that was really cool, albeit for $2,000.

Sure them doing shows on the other side of the world is better than them doing nothing. I just hope things progress as a consequence, e.g. new info about their plans, some new songs played live, even new old ones would be cool etc etc.

A selfish Aussie here echoes your thoughts BLS.
That said at least I have been lucky enough to get concerts more recently than you US guys, in fact 2 tours.
That said, if they announced that they were finally going to tour the US it would still be a bit of a let down for me. This "CD Tour" should have happened there bloody ages ago.
If they announce one now I just see it as another period of delay before something new might happen with the band. Cool for you guys in the US, boring for a selfish guy down under that's waiting to see what's next.

I finally bought a pre amp at the weekend so I could attach my turntable to my amplifier and surround sound.
AFD was the first LP I threw on and I was loving it. I'm looking forward listening to vinyl regularly again.
