Chia's supposed to be some fat-burning friend of the bodybuilders, which I'm not majorly, just wanted to throw that into the pot!

re friend zone etc, 'kay been there done that - I think it;s best to let a lady know you like her and are interested in her, don't forget women have to deal with the fear of rape and date rape is the worst thing, and the most common (NOT saying any of you are in that mindset!! just, I have sisters, and most rapes are by someone the lady knew) so being a buddy for a while then suddenly going all "I wanna poke your pink bits" may be a bit much.

If you're a friend let HER come on strong, she will if she's finding you irresistable, but if you're a new acquaintance go for the flirting right off, if she doesn't bite (hehe!) you may make a friend, but really I don't think men and women who are of the same age & attracted in any way can ever be friends, and please believe me when I say I speak from harsh experience there.... neutral

But really who on earth has all the answers - least of all THIS sad son of a bitch!! cool

#113 Re: The Garden » Derren Brown Predicting Lottery Numbers Live on TV » 822 weeks ago

He's one smug bastard, I have to say I don't rate him highly at all, and all he did was NOT predict the draw on an actual National Lottery draw, it was to make some ping-pong balls he SAID he drew the numbers on earlier be the same as the lottery number.... small difference but critical IMO, and not so amazing really, though I confess I don't know how he did those (but then I don't know how they do simple card tricks, not my specialty)

And I think he had a time delay of at least several seconds as he dramatically WROTE the numbers as they were drawn in the real lottery onto a board, then later revealed the ping-pong balls with the same numbers on them. Meh!

If he'd had a jury of 12 people who never met him (ie not influenced) see the numbers, or broadcast them first, for extra intergrity, then yeah hats off to the guy.

But he didn't. He later made some ping-pong balls match the lottery. I bet next week, he'll saw a chick in half... cool

Oh and @monkeychow the Nat. Lottery's not the govt, though I bet they wish it was lol, it's a private company licensed by the govt. smile

I really hate it when he does that multi-vocal thing, and then lays it back over each other (KOHD & CD). It really adds nothing, and is almost distracting.

Imo KOHD is one of those songs that works so well live when they let us muggles sing, it;s always going to be a tough one to translate to recorded versions.

I got it on tape when it was on the Days of thunder soundtrack and I liked it plenty as a novel recording be but yeah not the best of GnR by a long means. 22

#117 Re: Guns N' Roses » favorite axl moment ( the gnrevolution version ) » 822 weeks ago

Yeah I share with the OP my fave was seeing the Freddie Mercury concert, braodcast live (BBC2? I think) one afternoon, kicked off great, seeing GN'R there was ACE! cool

Although to be honest, anytime I've been in the pit and they've actually shown up on stage was pretty damned good, so yeah that's five.

Aaaaaaand to go all OT, seeing NIN in 1994 @ the Forum was also a cool moment Id not have HAD without Axl& crew! 9

#118 Re: Guns N' Roses » Super-Speculative Reunion Thread. » 824 weeks ago

By that standard, there was no GNR between UYI and 2001. I don't get it - what do they owe us? Nothing. Does GNR exist, in that, musicians of the right frame of mind are going to be stoked by getting a call to audition, or just want to be involved?

I now GET why I don't fit into most gNR forums - I don't think I know better than the band.

Meh!

Chuck M era FNM is aging better than The Real Thing and some Mike Patton stuff, and I respect patton to the end. Just a comment - Chuck's "Spirit"? The dog's furry swingers to this day! 22
