5.5m saltwater croc Brutus photographed on Adelaide River Jumping Croc Cruises

THIS 5.5m saltwater croc has given a boatload of tourists a moment they'll never forget.

And yes, it’s real, says photographer Katrina Bridgeford who took the picture on board Adelaide River Jumping Croc Cruises, the Northern Territory News reports.

Ms Bridgeford was on the cruise with her family when they came face to face with Brutus.

The huge saltwater crocodile, missing its right front leg after a run-in with a shark, is a favourite with tourists on the on the Adelaide River, just over 100km south of Darwin.

“I wasn't expecting anything like this. I couldn't believe how close it got to us. If you put your hand out, you would've touched it,” Ms Bridgeford told the Northern Territory News.

Jumping crocodile cruises are a major tourist attraction in the Territory with several operators providing their services along the croc-infested Adelaide River.

Yeah please tell - what did you buy?

Yeah the CD boxset alone makes it the bargain of the year.  As Monkeychow said, when that first came out it was hideously expensive.

Yeah you would think that the RRHOF would be keen to avoid another Van Halen style abortion of an event and therefore avoid inducting them for the time being.

Unfortunately Axl is on a hiding to nothing come HOF time. If he doesn't show or refuses to play or interact with the original guys then that just makes him look like a cockhead (or confirms that status for those who already think he is one).

On the other hand if he does get up with the old guys in some capacity then how can it not have some type of negative impact for NuGNR  and his plans there (if any), and their legitimacy.

^ I gotta agree there Monkeychow.  Watching them perform their Black Ice concert, you virtually didn't notice their age at all.  They certainly didn't seem like crusty old dudes desperately clinging to something that had long since passed them by.

That said not all bands obviously age so well and some defintely are cringe worthy and look like sad, old, slow and fat caricatures of themselves.

But I don't think Axl falls into the too old category yet, he can still pull it off within limits.  However, he would wanna get a wriggle on with whatever he might want to do because it's certainly a potential factor at some point.

^ Agree there is no doubt a tonne of this guys life sitting in his vault and head, so it would a great shame if the majority of it went to waste and never saw the light of day.

That said if Axl died tomorrow I'm sure the Lebeis's et al wouldn't even wait for his corpse to become cold before there was some type of release of what he had been sitting on and hatching for years.

Guys I have no doubt Axl has at least 3 albums worth of material as well as possibly shitloads of other bits and pieces he has been working with.  I also am fairly confident that there is some good stuff amongst what he has.  So when guys like Ashba and Bach hear bits and pieces and they find it "mind blowing" or whatever other adjectives they use, I find that believable too.

I probably would gush too if given the chance to hear it, if Axl only had the confidence to release it or finish it or whatever the deal is.

I was just having a laugh with how similar the two dudes have been sounding regarding Axl's vault.   19
