Please.  The gov't is more famous for inefficiencies than anything else.  If I need to prove that to you, you are stupid and lazy.  Take a look at the creation of the exchanges in case you think I'm wrong.

I think there are plenty of things in the private sector that run inefficiently but the industry is a boondoggle so it is supported.

I have a buddy that works for Bean-Sontory out of Kentucky  and he says that the alcohol industry will make him money no matter how poorly it's run or inefficient it is.

I have always heard Nestle headquarters here in Chicago is an absolute cesspool of waste and that company is making money hand over fist...

But inefficiencies only occur with government? Right...

Perhaps you'd like to quote where I said inefficiencies only occur in the gov't?   Good luck finding it.  I said the gov't fucks up pretty much everything, which is true. I pointed to rolling out the exchanges as a specific example within this industry of them fucking it up.  Never said private businesses were perfect, but they manage to make money in most cases where the gov't operates at a deficit as a whole.

I noticed you didn't deny anything I said about the industry was the truth. Good move.  I don't know everything but I have a pretty good grasp on this one since I know the actuaries, underwriters, and investment people and their processes pretty well at a leading insurance company.

You guys have no credibility. None.  I'm pretty sure he's not too worried about what you think of him.

I have 20 years working in and with the insurance industry. I don't need a source beyond that. Normal people call that expertise. The only reason you won't is because it forces you to acknowledge I've been right all along.

I notice all of the insurance experts we have here in all their ingenuity have declined to discuss how insurance companies actually make their profit.

Premiums are not priced for profit.  They are priced to cover costs.  Actuaries have all kinds of data and they price the products to break even.  Sometimes they come out ahead; sometimes they come out behind.  Overall they are pretty good though.  The Underwriters then price it to include expenses.  The sales team comes back to push for lower pricing because they only get paid if they sell the product, and eventually sales and underwriting settle on a price.  So if they break even on the pricing of the premiums (more or less), how do insurance companies make money?

They make money by investing the premiums.  Consider that your little education on how the insurance industry really works versus how you think it works while really having no idea.  It's also how I know the insurance companies can do insurance cheaper than the gov't (well, not including the government's long history of wasting money).  My source is me and experience.  I don't really give a fuck if you don't believe the source...that's your problem, not mine.  It's far better than most of the sources I see used by you guys.

Good day!  I'll be back to mock you again down the road.

Here's a bitter truth all of you single payer people need to understand: Insurance companies even with their "profits" can do insurance at a lower cost than a non-profit gov't agency could.  Anyone claiming otherwise is completely idiotic end of story.  There are literally decades (and I'm being nice) of historical evidence of gov't waste and inefficiencies.  Frankly they can't do much of anything right from a financial point of view, so stop with the theatrics that are not at all based in fact, but instead based in some bullshit idea that profit is bad.

Do any of you actually know how insurance companies make profit btw?  I'll give you a hint...it's not from the premiums.

Trump is a negotiator. Have any of you actually negotiated anything important before?  He's leading like a businessman and not like a politician though there is some overlap.  You're so busy trying to shit on everything that you're not noticing what is going on (yet again).

Relax. Not everything needs a response from you. Social media has fed the ignorant more than they can handle.

No......I don't care how big the beef you have with Mitch is, that's a major false equivalence.

Funniest thing about this is anyone that actually knows me would mock you for even implying such a thing. My personality here is based on the personality required to engage you.  I used to post thoughtful posts with facts and sources verifying those facts. They were ignored. You guys respond to bullshit, so that's what you get.  I got blamed for everything,  yet didn't log in several times for weeks and nothing changes, yet YOU guys still focus on me. The truth is you guys focus on me way more than I do.

There's a lot to be learned by being an impartial observer. You guys quote all these liberal think tanks and in turn accuse anyone that disagrees of quoting conservative sites. Somehow you fail to see the irony in that. There are two sides to every truth you spew. Ignorance is the only tool you have and you utilize it often.  Any time one side is always right and the other side is always wrong, you know immediately to dismiss the source. You were dismissed months ago. Carry on with your small band of merry men.

Zzzzzzzz....just  more of the same. You simply don't get it.

Point out ONE THING of substance you've brought to this thread...ever.

You take up bandwidth to work through your insecurities and anger. That's it, and that's why everybody has told you that you suck.

Haha. I've brought more substance not logging in than you have posing. And no, your merry band of 3 or 4 people isn't everyone, it's the people whose opinions mean nothing.

This thread is such a pile of shit and I haven't logged in for 5 weeks. I'm sure it's still my fault though, right?

This needs to be hidden from visitors. It's an embarrasment to the site. It should have been left closed instead of being restarted worse than it was before.
