I'm seeing people conclusively state that parts were redone on Shadow - has this been confirmed/proven? If so, what parts?

I tend to think it has been touched up - it sounds fresher and more modern, and that is not just the mix/master... although that could be my ears deceiving me

At any rate - it sounds great and if they could keep a similar sound for the rockier numbers on the new album I'll be a happy camper

The official word is that it's a genuine AFD recording newly remixed and remastered.
Some fans are not buying it..

The coma bit is hilarious, and considering that Axl actually had a hard time writing lyrics I would not be surprised if that line was part of the lyrics and not just him forgetting the words.

It could actually date even further back to the jam sessions including everyone from Slash to Zakk to Kermit the frog.

GNRcentral next post: "Was Kermit the frog in the studio with GNR?"

I think it's something else, because no matter how much the record was ignored, the story itself is a bit absurd, 20 cd's from a storage unit? There are still articles about an unpublished Beatles photos suddenly discovered in an attic somewhere.
I think the band asked the media not to report it for one reason or another, maybe, if we are getting new material in several months it has something to do with this, I don't know, but I don't think it's ignored because nobody cares.

I don't need a million versions of the title track, TWAT, Maddy, and derivative versions of the other tracks.

This.
But how do you choose which version to add?

I’ve always thought it could be interesting to have them in the studio with Rick Rubin.

It is interesting, as they've kept releasing UYI singles well after TSI came out.
