Would have voted in favor of Riad if it had the Bucket solo still.

Yeah gonna be wondering why he isn't staying over to play for GNR.

I talked about this a while back.. Would be like some dude fucking your wife, making her leave u,Taking your house and all ur shit and u agree to give her away at their wedding..

Except when Duff comes out during the GNR set to play with them. Something tells me Seattle won't be quiet for very long when that happens.  15

Anyone can say what they want about this band, but there are VERY few bands that could get on stage, sing three words of a song and let the audience do the rest.  Eddie wrote that song pre-PJ as well.  He was hesitant to let PJ have it because he thought it was too catchy.  They thought about putting it on Ten.

This band is huge.  And it's amazing how huge they got considering the fact that they spent the first part of their career trying to sabotage it.  Not making music videos at a time when that's how bands got played and refusing to tour Ticketmaster venues were bold moves.  Same with doing hardly any interviews, becoming less personal with everything.  These guys are a true rock band.  There is no act about them.

How many times could Eddie have died from hanging off of rafters and stage diving from incredible heights?  Not many bands can say they have a singer that crazy.

Eddie and Cornell are on another level entirely.  Not many singers can do what they do.  They both have this amazing ability to captivate a crowd without a backing band.

The Into the Wild soundtrack is one of my all time favorite albums as well as Cornell's Euphoria Morning.

My complaint about the PJ20 film was the complete lack of anything on Layne.  They of course had Cobain in there, but Layne wasn't even mentioned.

I mean Eddie wrote a song for Layne the day he found out about it.  And Layne's death was a huge loss to that entire era, and in my opinion a much more profound loss than Cobain.

I'd disagree that Layne's death was much more profound to that era. his death came well after that era had ended.  Cobain's came at the height of it and all things considerd he was the poster child of the genre and era.  the innocense was lost when Coabin died and the genre itself kind faded out. When Layne died it was sad but really had no impact on the musical landscape.

But you're right it was odd to have no mention of Layne in there at all.

Disagree again.  Like Cornell said in the documentary, Andy Wood's death was the death of the innocence of that era.  From that point on, everything changed from the inside out.  Cobain was overrated so of course more focus was put on his death than anyone else.

For me, I've always seen Soundgarden and Pearl Jam on a different level than the rest of the grunge bands.  I hate to say that because I'm also a big AIC fan.  In terms of musicality and not repeating themselves, those two can't be touched by AIC or Nirvana.

On the subject of Pearl Jam songs, Nothingman is phenomenal.  The way Eddie can tell a story in song to me in brilliant.

I'll do the updates.

Lately i've been on a later schedule (not my choice), been suffering from a bit of insomnia.

I know Russ works, or has a different schedule and it might screw him up. So i'm offering.

I'm assuming if Axl goes on as late as 12am, that would be 3am-6am ET. Yeah I can do that...

I know Saikin's real big over on Grunge Report, i'd love for that Seattle show to have Duff and maybe some friends show up. A bit fanboy of me, but that would be beyond fucking cool man. Beyond!

Well Duff does live in Seattle, and Axl did mention doing shows with Loaded, and so far no opening band is listed for this concert.

One can dream I guess.

Or they can have Soundgarden open for them again.  That would work for me as well.  16

Sorry dude. Didn't know you were a Britney Spears fan. Sorry if my sarcasm offended you tongue

Your sarcasm offended me for the fact that I could actually see it happening, which would be just another huge blow to this organizations credibility.

I mean, I can see them putting Britney in before PJ. Nirvana will get in.  But I would be willing to bet PJ, SG and AIC will be left out, despite the fact that all 3 of those bands are superior to Nirvana in almost every conceivable way.

You depressed me Bono.  14

Actually, it's a disgrace Madonna is in a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at all. No need to even compare her with the likes of Cure, Deep Purple, KISS, Bad Company (or at least Paul Rodgers) and on and on.
