Saw Vice, on Redbox. Good movie. Wasn't as vicious on Cheney as I expected, seemed fairly spot on imho. Wasn't anyway near Fahrenheit 9/11 in terms of a witchhunt, whether deserved or not.

What was interesting was how he always seemed like an unknown choice. Big name George W Bush, gets thru a pretty big & important GOP race, and selects relatively unknown Dick Cheney as Veep?  I guess it was done to push the GOP as a pro-military party against hippie/environmentalist Al Gore (FWIW Lieberman was always a terrible choice imho, Tim Kaine wasn't very good either).  FWIW bit of a spoiler/backstory but he was essentially Nixons/Fords WH staff (Deputy Chief of Staff, Campaign mgr etc), then they seemed to skim over him as HW Sec of Defense during Desert Storm, but then was out of politics until 2000. Didn't seem to know W at all, probably arranged by Republican higher ups. Then, well, you know the rest.

Never understood the whole Quail hunting saga, never added up but if it was something, what was it that they covered up & why??  (It was a very short bit in the movie, and admitted they didn't know of more to it)

And you still can’t explain why Clinton paying the Russians for the Steele dossier is ok, legal, and not an issue, but Jr taking a 10 minute meeting is high treason. I’d love for you to explain how you come to this conclusion.

Sure, I'll answer that. Ya see, it's kinda like being in the midst of a divorce and hiring a private investigator to follow your spouse and do some investigating. In the course of the investigation they find out she is meeting with a hit man and talking about having you off'ed. Now, which is the illegal act, your hiring of a PI, or her attempting to hire a hit man (or woman big_smile )

Not a single Russian truther has admitted they were wrong. They’re no different than Trump, and that’s not lost on me.

Wrong about what?? The Steele dossier is true & there is a video as Axl S pointed out?
-1x-1.png

That Trump DID fire Comey as a result of the Russian investigation & that he attempted to fire AG Sessions?  The fact that Kushner, Jr & the Trump team DID meet with Russians in hopes of obtaining intel from a foreign country on his opponent, then obstructed justice in order to cover it up?  The fact that Trump is completely shit his pants scared that Don McGahn is going to speak to Congress, or that his Tax records will be discovered after subpoena?  (I'm beginning to think he is less concerned with having paid $0 in taxes, and more scared about funneling money to Russians in 2016, serendipitously coinciding with the leaks)

What have we been wrong about?

I think they're going all in on this. I don't think they're backing down. If they win on this, and somethings exposed, it'll be formative.

^ Dude, don't even get me started on her. She lies to the American public & the media, then, under oath she tells the truth. Now, when not under oath, she sways from her sworn testimony she gave under oath & goes back to telling her originally fables. So plastic.

Emoluments clause:

Although the President publicly stated during and after the election that he had no connection to Russia, the Trump Organization, through Michael Cohen was pursuing the proposed Trump Tower Moscow project through June 2016 and candidate Trump was repeatedly briefed on the ro ress of those efforts. 498 In addition , some witnesses said that ~s aware that HARM TO ONGOING MATTER at a time when public reports stated that Russian intelligence officials were behind the hacks, and that Trump privately sought information about future WikiLeaks releases.

Wanna bet underneath Harm to Ongoing Matter it was 'Trump was discussing building a Hotel in Moscow'

Some of you I guess. Mitch, Randall and buzz need to turn down the heat imo.

On topic: I am still shocked no one seems to care that the report confirms that October 2016 candidate Trump thought the Russians had compromising tapes of him and his fixer Cohen was dispatched to stem their flow.

1) He'll only think those tapes exist if he did that stuff (Although if he did, I don't care. Each to their own, whatever floats his boat)
2) Even if they don't exist, he thinks they do. So surely that means he's compromised?

Can someone who defends this shit and says the Russia stuff is nothing, please explain the above? This is confirmed fact now.

Interesting point. I did a CTRL+F search of it, page 27 states Cohen recv'd a text message in 2016 saying "Stopped flow of tapes from Russia but not sure if there 's anything else. Just so you know .... "

I don't know how much deeper it goes into it, or if thats in another investigation. I suppose it doesn't define very much about the tapes, could just be footage of Trump walking with or being with 'other women' but not sexually, or having them pee on a bed whilst screaming I hate Obama! 16

and for the Trump supporters here, do you think Michael Flynn, and Michael Cohen, received plea deals to avoid possible life in prison type sentences, for just this??

"Trump yelled at me"  "Trumps mean".

Whats upcoming is probably what frightening Trump. He wants to end this all, but he can't. State courts are out of bounds for the president to touch. He's scared.

You know Cohen didn’t get a deal right?  Mueller even stated at his sentencing that he shouldn’t get reduced time as he offered nothing of value. You don’t even have an accurate understanding of what occurred. You’ve built an entire narrative off of inaccurate information.

Semantics, he PLEAD GUILTY to crimes that stem from Donald Trump in order to receive a lesser sentence.
