#1421 Re: Guns N' Roses » GunsNRosesNews RUMOUR. & THEREFORE SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH A PINCH OF » 805 weeks ago
^ I don't get it I assume that was a tweet posted by Beta. But the language later in the tweet sounds like it's written by someone out of the GNR cirlce. They say "I contacted GN'R rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus..." It reads like it was a reporter following up the story trying to clarify it?
If it was written by Beta (who presumably sees Fortus just about every day while they are on tour, wouldn't you write "I spoke to Richard" rather than "I contacted". Anyhow, I assume she was simply trying to shoot down what that Robin F dude posted by using some evidence to say the guy is full of shit. Which is fine but it all just sounds like confusing gobbledy gook to me. Perhaps it's her lack of basic English that is confusing the message??
Interstingly the guy that came out and posted after this Robin F guy (he went on to say that Robin F only had some bits right), posted much more detailed and salacious rumours (all the BBF stuff plus other background issues with Azoff and UMG etc), yet Beta is conspiciously silent on him. Is that because he was telling the truth?

That Better vid was great quality for a crowd shot. The guy said he has loads more to post too!

He actually sung it alright I thought. Yeah I lol'd when they cut to "Tracy and Roberta". Thought it was funny they put a top hat on the guitarist too.

Me too, love TWAT.
Would love to have seen BH play it, the guitar solo's are killer.
I was NEVER a BH fan for a number of years, but TWAT really sold me on him so I dived into his back catalogue and never looked back.
A few more CD songs in the set would help to satisfy my personal preference (as would some more UYI but I'm dreaming now).
Good to see that the concert appeared to go smoothly, was sure there was a high probability of trouble at this.

Nice to see Madagascar in there again and Better. I would still love to see TWAT back in there.

Apparently they hit the stage at 8:30.
Although I'm not surprised since this was the gig where they did the contract with the V8 Supercars so presumably start time was a critical part of it.
The extra Oz shows I imagine GN'R organised independently so I'm guessing they can go on stage a little more liberally at those.

^ I like madagas' idea, start drinking then see how ya feel.
Gotta say I kinda know what you mean. Whilst I have my ticket for the Perth show, it's at a venue that is friggin way way out of the city and is in the middle of nowhere so it's going to be a mission getting there and back. It's also in the middle of bogan country too so I think there is a high chance of drunken trouble. Also as much as I will sound like a setlist whinger I do think about that and wonder how different the show is really going to be from the 3 I went to in 2007.
BUT it's GN'R and I know I would be disappointed after the fact if I didn't go, knowing that they were effectively playing in my backyard and missed it.
Start drinking, I'm sure that will fire you up. I know it would for me. As soon as I have a couple of sherberts on the day I will be all fired up for the gig.

So show started around 10 PM.
Can't expect any complaints on that....
Yeah that seems pretty reasonable for them
#1430 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R Twitter Updates » 806 weeks ago
They aren't playing Melbourne (or Brisbane) due to the exclusive deal they did in Sydney with the v8 supercars. They weren't able to play any other gigs within a certain distance. That's why they are playing in Townsville and not Brisbane (the capital city of Queensland and the more logical choice).
