^ She looks a bit plastic, I'm sure DJ could pull some better quality than that.

Ax, Slash and Duff own 1/3 each of the publishing rights up to 1998. This is because they were still partners at Guns N Roses Music up to that point. The publishing rights for Live Era and CD, for example, are on Ax, the last remaining partnership member.
Apex-twin how is Axl the last remaining partnership member.
I thought the original partnership still existed today, but theoretically it would only have Slash and Duff left in it because Axl left that partnership around 1996. He left with the name and set up a new GNR partnership/dictatorship. He then offered Slash and Duff to join as contract employees with Slash telling him to shove it and Duff signing on for a while before leaving
Is the above correct or am I mixing up the publishing agreement with the GNR name/band agreement?

I hope the poor guy doesn't get a wife like Perla!

He explains: “It doesn’t have too negative an effect on the original Guns, so it doesn’t bother me. If everybody was looking at the old Guns and lumping the two together and the history got blurred, then I might have a different opinion.
^ Axl thinks that people see Slash (in a video game) and lump old Guns and New Guns together.
“In the 90s when Axl presented the band with his desire to have the name, we let it happen in order to keep going. It was an ultimatum – give me the name or we’re not going to finish the tour. So I accepted back then he was going to have the name. It’s no skin off my back.”
^ Is this the first time Slash has actually articulated what Axl alledgedly said regarding the name ultimatum "give me the name or we're not going to finish the tour"?
I know for years there was the myth about not going on stage one night unless the name was signed over. I never was able to find the quotes of where that was first started. It also means that Axl was telling the truth in his forum chats when he said
the whole Axl wouldn’t go on stage yada yada… is complete and utter crap.
Never happened, all made up, fallacy and fantasy. Not one single solitary thread of truth to it.
Although if did say what Slash claims above about not touring, then whilst Axl was telling the truth in the forum chats he didn't quite disclose all the facts, it comes down to semantics.
I have suspected for a long time that Axl actually threatened not to do the UYI tour and this got bastardised into "Axl wouldn't go on stage one night unless the name was sigend over". Slash's statement above seems to support that.
Not that it matters, it's been and gone years ago but I have always found the circumstances around it interesting.

^ That Zakk Wylde looks like the one that was produced by Kuncklebonz, they did a Slash one too. It was a similar price. Thy aren't plastic either they are a good quality sculpture with lots of detail and they were hand painted.

Neemo how are the lips on that GHIII figure of Slash. They look like a massive shaved vagina

I agree monkeychow. We may think axl is being a little bitch for allegedly making all these slash related stipulations in order for Activision to use jungle. The fact is if they agreed to them and then did what they did then you would assume he has a case and the right to go after them.
I think the derision for him and the case comes from the slash obsessed requests he made in the first instance coupled with the fact that his "team" seemed to have yet again fucked up the business side of things.
I love Gnr's music and Axl as a frontman, that has never changed. But honestly they couldn't even organize a pissup in a brewery. The way GNR operates is laughable.

^ Those sort of tweets above are what I don't understand about the whole twitter medium. What's the point of making nonsense tweets like the ones above.
I suppose it can be a useful medium at times but when people continually dribble shit on them I honestly don't see the point???

I can see this case getting a lot of attention. Axl will be called a tool by pretty much anyone who hears of it.
Unfortunately whether Axl is right or wrong he will be made out by the media to look like an ass clown for this.
Quoting the lawsuit again:
Nonetheless members of the tabloid media have tended to focus on and mythologize a rift within the band that occured in 1996, when one of the bands guitarist, Saul Hudson, aka "Slash" and Guns N' Roses parted ways.
Umm lawsuits like this tend to suggest that the rift focused on by the media is no myth and in fact it is ongoing. It's things like this lawsuit that simply provide further tabloid fodder.

Exactly Neemo, it's not even difficult particularly as you say with email these days.
You are on the phone to Tim Riley from Activision and he gives you all the assurances about the GNR name, Slash avatars, VR songs etc. You then say, "that's great Tim now if you can just send me an email summarising what you have just told me, then once we get that Axl will sign the release forms for the song".
It's not hard!
