I don’t know about the locker leaks, but there was more material from the batch in 06

Most certainly. Rember the guy from HTGH that posted sorry lyrics years before we ever got the album. He definitely had source material that was after the village sessions.

Now there where touch up's in done 2006 not disagreeing.

But the locker leaks where not the all cd's during the village sessions.

by the common logic on the forums pissed off axl after buckethead quit and the world tour was canceled did more studio vox while he was mad at his mangers and umg which resulted in Greatest Hits getting released instead of CD in 04.

Bird (the guy who bought the locker) made up all that shit about having more Village discs with stuff like Oklahoma & Zodiac with vocals because he didn't want people to know everything he had had been leaked. Rick swore up and down that Bird had all these unleaked tracks (like Dragon, whatever the fuck that was supposed to be) but when pressed if he had actually heard any of this stuff to verify it he didn't answer, which answers the question itself imo.

The more village disc statement has nothing to due with Bird or Rick's statements.

Don't believe the narrative that has been pushed out by propagandist

Leaks that occurred prior to Bird or Rick getting  the village leaks are exact dat matches to Village locker leaks.

Here's a idea , why doesn't someone contact individuals that worked on the village sessions. Hell ask Fernando on reddit , band members  or producers ect.... not named Zoutat.

This forum is the home of Chinese Whispers right ? So it's capable of finding out The real Truth.

Brasky, all I can tell you is this.. if I had more 'unreleased material', you'd have more unreleased material - as I have proven many times when things of that nature have found themselves in my direction, I don't play games where those things are concerned.

If there are more 'uncirculated' village discs (which I've heard rumors of but never seen one scintilla of direct evidence for them), I can assure you they're not in my grubby lil' paws smile

I'll say this the pieces of the puzzle finally fit. Sure i had to accept that I've been outsmarted , duped and used along the way.

Now i see the board.

The more important thing is we don't know if those new 'overdubs' were taken, simply, from alternate takes during the original recording sessions. That's why I PERSONALLY don't think we've heard any post, let's say 2002 or so vox on ANY of the CD material or leaks we've had our hands on thereafter. Obviously I don't have much to draw that conclusion from except for the perceptible change in how he sounds on "Angel Down" and, later, "Rock the Rock"..

I could very well be wrong, like I said, its just my opinion - the problem is we don't have enough of a data set to form a more conclusive one, at this point in time.. who knows, though smile

No shit it all the leaks basically are from the village session era. Minus the remixes , Shacklers  , Scrapped.

But you know this.

You know there are a bunch of uncirculated village session era dics.

The way you use certain language in your post reminds me of another individual.

I'm coming at you directly not trying to be rude but hoping you want to share with the community a proper history lesson.

We can all see that players at the table again. the last go around in 2019 wasn't what it appeared. The question is how the river card plays out this time.

Ps the Patrice documentary disappointed me.

Brasky I don't know if you are a technician like Bret the hitman Hart or a solid hand in the ring like Deelow Brown, but I'll be damned if your hypotheses don't get my juices flowing. I'm glad you don't fear the reaper (or other painted faces) or consider yourself king of the offspring. You're a dragon of a poster and I hope you continue to live and post free.  While this might not be the state of grace you imagined, your quips and contributions to this community don't go unoticed. Ugh I'm no good at being cryptic.

Thank you i appreciate it.

I love Monsters. The General is growing on me. Monsters far more memorable though. I forget what The General sounds like as soon as it's over. But while I'm listening to The General, I do enjoy it.

The General has surpassed TIL as the biggest disappointment of the big guns.

Monster is a good song. But if this is truly the quality of the vault it speaks volumes regarding UMG stance on cd2.

Why pay the expenses on marketing and promotion for this quality ?

We may never of had these songs distributed to the masses if not for Slash and Duff returning.

If CD was to Contraband
CD2 is to Liberated.
