I used to play piano, got fed up with theory fast as i'd started it when i was 5 or 6. I come from a family ( on my dad's side) of geniously talented piano players and my grandfather and his brother used to play 8 hands on double grand queue piano with their wifes. They entertained people in their days.
Anyway, i then played by ear only and used to transpose music by ear as i would hear a melody and replay it as i thought it sounded better.
Not that it was what i was actually looking for but that's how it usually ended.
One day, i realised i lacked theory, but i was too old and too tired to go through it all again, so i gave up.
Also because i was pissed off having my mother ask me to play for people anywhere we went, i was the little musical monkey and my brother was the " let's hear him crack a joke" monkey.
It felt good leaving my mother all alone with her own talents to entertain people ( devilish laughter lol)..
I play a little harmonica, i have a collector that belung to my paternal grandfather.
I did sing in front of 5000 people once..Long story...
I did a little backing singing for an acid jazz band in london in the early 90's.
Dis some studio backing too ( let me explain :
Theree was a show going on, composed of kids, and their voices were not strong enough, their were doing something for the queen's birthday i think it was, by Douggie Squires.
So as the show went on, we were in a studio nearby, live, and we were backing them live, there were 6 of us and no one ever knew lol)..
And got to do la la las on stage once during a Dave Stewart performance with the spiritual cowboys, but just as a fan, near his guitarist, vicky..lol, claim to fame lol)...

I may annoy you, but i agree with this.
People, fans or not, should not decide on what to do with music ( work) that does not belong to them.

Nothing much to be done right now..apart from finding a job, but more over, e place to live, because this hotel room is so tiny we walk on each other.
