Yeah, it was a great mini series. The caliber of the actors is astonishing, and the story is very heartfelt (in a good way) for an American production.

They aren't quite through, but they have a very good chance of progressing. 3 points give you about a 75% chance in this format. 4 points is almost guaranteed, it depends on how many teams get the same. Norway managed to end 4th in their group in 94 since all teams had the same amount of points. I think that tournament also saw 5 groups ending with 4 points for the third placed team, so one of them had to go.
The benefit for Wales is they can go for a draw. England has to win and that could leave them open for counterattacks. With Bale in the team that could get extremely dangerous.

That Dany moment was so soapy. The way she just popped into the scene like she just came from the makeup chair and entered the set, which is probably exactly what really happened too.
Middling episode with some good scenes. We have definitely been in filler territory for the last 2 or 3 shows. Those dudes getting hanged reminded me a little of the similar scene from Lonesome Dove, which was cool. Clegane begging to cut off at least a hand was funny. I'd like to see more of those fellas in that cult.

Lions versus dragons. Unless you are a Game of Thrones fan you know who should win that contest. England is England though, so fantasy might become real here. It would be worth it for the meltdown alone.

Decisive Campaigns: Operation Barbarossa
Great strategy game. Play as either Germany or Russia in the battle for the east in WWII. It is very light on graphics, focusing on the strategic elements of the war. You can get by only using your mouse. Learning curve is pretty steep so you have to really like pure strategy, but once in the saddle it's hard to put away. Very hard game too.

The Irish, Italians and Jews were disliked enough to prompt the strictest immigration policy in US history though. It's hard to predict what would have happened if they had continued to come by the millions. When the immigration laws were eased up in the 60s there was no longer a mass of them wanting to come over. If this had not happened I could very well foresee a much more segregated Irish, Italian and Jewish population than it is now.
Excessive immigration has always been a problem, whoever the immigrants are. In the not too distant past we used to fight real wars over it. Or should I say, immigration in the scale we are seeing now would be seen as a de facto act of war and lead to hostilities on a major scale.
The only thing preventing the same now is social security and wealth enough to pay for it. That too has limits of course, and we should all pray to our God that limit is never reached. For all we know it might be already.

Knowing English won't make it much easier to cooperate with, say the Italians. No language in the world can overcome that enormous cultural divide. That's why the EU was a bad idea from the start and why it is doomed to fail.
The only unions in Europe that could work is a Scandinavian one, a German one and maybe a pan Germanic one. The rest don't like each other enough to ever agree on anything.

The suicide rate in N. Europe is worrying... has nothing to do with this though:ummm:
I guess my point was banning stuff like guns doesn't remove the sickness from your society.
