sorry at some point as well

don't disagree with everything you said but..................
better and cd are two completely types of different songs
cd is about as straight forward of a standard rock song as you can get - it's good but it is what it is. i think they only released it as a single based on the title to spread the word that chinese democracy is here.
better is way more catchy and dynamic.
there third single should be citr or sod.

you suck
but that is a rarity and doesn't change my point
#1534 Re: Guns N' Roses » Gene Simmons lashes out at Axl Rose » 910 weeks ago
very true but there is a difference
people are willing to put up with his shit and they still get what they paid for. axl shows up 2 hours late we still get a full set list. you show up late and things have probably carried on but not with the axlin touch and contribution. if significant amounts of people left the gnr shows due to the lateness and got refunds he would have to stop pulling that shit or either lose money from less tickets sold or not have tours made available to him by the promoters/venues.
i'm the boss at my job and
i show up when i want to
the boss (good ones anyways) works harder and longer hours than the staff so that's the payoff.
ofcourse, when i want to go in to work is based on what i need to accomplish and when.

if you took off all of the makeup, aguilera is an average looking girl.

That could be but it seems like a real moronic way to go about things in thsi day and age when it's all about hitting hard and hitting fast. People will lose interst in this thing before they even promo it? Not smart in my opinion. We'll see I guess.
maybe. maybe not.
if it's so hard to maintain sales and hype in this day and age, why waste promo/money on the first week or so when the sales were gonna be good anyways?
i'm not saying i agree with the strategy or that it's gonna happen. just throwing possibilities out there.
another is that they did indeed know this was gonna be a mediocre sell considering the economy/times and there are more products around the corner.
that could be anything from a box set with new music to a reunion, obviously

war wrote:the people who say "this isn't gnr" are mostly who bought the album though.
we knew going in that they were gonna have to pick up some new fans to replace the ones that have died, and the ones that have grown up and started listening to elton john or something like that, or downloaded the album because they want to save their money for christmas presents for their kids, etc.... gnr haven't so much as extended an arm out to these potential new fans.
if all of the "where's slash" fans that didn't buy the album only because of the lineup went to best buy and bought it tomorrow i don't think it would make that much of a difference
Fair enough. Maybe not. But if all the music buyers who didn't like Chinese Democracy or what they heard off the myspace site went out and bought the album you'd have some massive sales in my opinion. I think the album has been out there enough for people to know whether it's something they like or not. I know that 75 people to a man at the Manchester Police department LOVE it. I wonder if they all bought it. I think what you'll find is the people who don't like it will say "it's not the same without Slash" Even if they don't know if that's why they don't like it. Most people don't care about chord progessions and how the drummer keeps time or song structure in any way. What they do know is that it's a Gn'R without Slash and if they like it cool but if they don't the majority fo the casual listeners will say it's because there's no Slash. Whether that's a legit reason or not doesn't really matter. VR for the most part sold what it did because of Slash. They didn't sell because of Scott or Duff . I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think there's alot of people who have no interest in Gn'R withouth Slash. Maybe I'm wrong.
i think you're right also
like i said, it's definitely a factor
and karma for seeing my point while maintaining yours - there's probably a lot of truth to what we are both thinking

the people who know "this isn't gnr" are mostly who bought the album though.
we knew going in that they were gonna have to pick up some new fans to replace the ones that have died, and the ones that have grown up and started listening to elton john or something like that, or downloaded the album because they want to save their money for christmas presents for their kids, etc.... yet gnr haven't so much as extended an arm out to these potential new fans.
if all of the "where's slash" fans that didn't buy the album only because of the lineup went to best buy and bought it tomorrow i don't think it would make that much of a difference
i'm not saying that slash and duff not being on the album isn't a factor
i'm just saying it's not the biggest factor
#1540 Re: Guns N' Roses » Gene Simmons lashes out at Axl Rose » 910 weeks ago
you guys both have it wrong
it's not "i am feeling great today - i'm gonna go on time"
it's more like - "i'll go on when i am ready"
some days it's 12:45 and others 11:30.
once in a great while, it's on time but only by conincidence.
axl is nocturnal and so just isn't normally ready by 8:00.
he gets away with it because he can. if he was forced to show up on time his performacne would probably suffer but not that much.
i noticed in '06 the tickets didn't even list a time for gnr
