Theres no other way a song like that could beat SCOM or some of the others....
that my friend is the problem, you say that no one could possibly ever like the leaks more than your beloved appetite in such a matter of fact, definitive, dismissive tone that you are not respecting other peoples opinions. you're basically saying anyone who holds the leaks in higher esteem is an idiot.
Thats not what I'm saying. Please read my post above before you start making invalid points. I do respect other people's opinions (well prob not yours) - and couldnt care less what they prefer to be honest.

Better is great and all but ahead of Sweet Child?
I don't get why SR made the Top 20, but I honestly agree with Better being way up there. It's probably my personal favorite GNR song.
oh no you cant like better more, what about the classics, no you're lying, what about SCOM? huh. nah mate you cant possibly think that so stop lying.
oh shit sorry was just channeling a few of the forum members here.
id replace shacklers with Chinese democracy and move TWAT up to number 10, and itd be a pretty good list.
What is your problem? Go to HTGTH or something.
I was just stating what I'd seen on other sites, you dont have to get all uptight do you?
Russ said it himself on page 2 that he'd thrown Better on there ahead of One in a Million just to see if it would get on the list. (Although above it has now gained the accolade of being his favourite GNR tune).

Considering the only people who voted on this poll were GNR forum junkies, I really could care less -_-
Agreed. There were many people on the sites who were saying that they'd leave out a fave and stick in Better etc just to see if it made the lists.

Good choice, The Cave never disappoints! Had the good fortune to check him live this year yet? Saw him at Brixton Academy in May - electrifying - a loads of classics and newies. The whole thing had a Grinderman kinda edge to it. Brilliant.
Last purchases for me - Blood Ceremony - Blood Ceremony.
Yeah, I saw him in Budapest. After not liking Abattoir blues too much I became a downloading motherfucker, and I didn't like Lazarus for the first listens. But I wanted to see them live so listened it more and more, cause I knw the setlist would be Lazarus-heavy. I started to like the songs, but the show was... terrific. One of the best shows of my life. I got there early so I had a place in middle of the first row!
Warren Ellis is a genius and he almost stole the show, and it wasn't easy since Nick is one of the best frontmen ever. The new songs sound better live than on the record and the band was much tighter and rocking than back in 2004 when I first caught them.
Back on topic:
I've just ordered PJ Harvey's White Chalk and Is This Dsire? albums.
Every Cave album differs greatly from the last and as such I always think 'Hmmm, this isn't so good' but always after a few spins you here the things that confirm the man as a genius. I loved Abbatoir Blues and the tour that accompanied it but I'm not sure if it was as good as this years gig. Maybe thats to do with the fact they played Tupelo and I'd been hanging to see that live for years. I caught him on the No More Shall We Part tour as well which was excellent - especially the Curse Of Millhaven.
Warren Ellis is awesome live but doesnt come close to stealing any of the spotlight from The Cave - the greatest songwriter/frontman of the last 20 years for me. A genius.
Check out the Birthday Party if you havnt already - theyre also great,
#155 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses Best Buy promotional ads » 882 weeks ago
I don't think this record will leak.
It's not going to ship to Best Buy store until the Friday before release and I bet it won't be on the torrents until at least that Saturday.
Everything leaks. Surely there'll be other countries that will be allowed to sell the album that dont have Best Buy?
DC had the Wal-Mart thing going on - but 500,000 people downloaded that album before release date.
#156 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses Best Buy promotional ads » 882 weeks ago
Why would anybody want a leaked version, when you could just buy it in a month?
I'll wait like a good boy.
Because the way things are with these guys you could be standing outside Best Buy at opening time like a good boy and some unforseen thing happens to make the album go up in flames.
All whilst I'm at home with the headphones on rolling a fat one.
#157 Re: Guns N' Roses » CD and WTTJ comparison » 882 weeks ago
Listening to CD the other day and now knowing its the first song off the album, it reminds me a lot of WTTJ and how it leades off AFD. They both have that delay effect going in the intro which leads to a big build up. Also you hear a lot of bluesy rock fills going on as well, similar to the guitar fills on WTTJ. Also the long scream by Axl both take place in beginning of the song. Just thought there were some similarities. Its one of the few songs that sounds like the older GNR songs. Its a great way to kick off the album IMO.
I kinda hear what your saying but after the scream in Jungle you have the remainder of one of the greatest rock songs ever but with CD you have a scream that goes to riff that would make Cobain call his lawyer (if he wasnt worm food of course).

Atlas held up the earth....
But this is fucking awesome. I guess this bitch is gonna leak anyday now.
Will we all be endlessly persecuted or arrested if we download the leaked album do you think?
This sucker must only be days away from torrenting.....
#159 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses Best Buy promotional ads » 882 weeks ago

Thought they'd been removed? Either way I'm sure they will be by the time I get home in 2 hours!
