Oh shits...
If the legal bills start rolling in we might be getting some more shows and possibly another album to help pay for it. See, there's always a bright spot.
Ha, that's a great call!

I'ver been to Sturgis. Don't plan on showing up there if you're an idiot. This is a biker crowd and biker things will be going on. It won't be your normal show.
Simply put, no one will have a problem kicking the shit out of you and there's a hell of alot of bikers there who will back "their" guy up over some outsider.
It's funny reading the posts about this concert and knowing the crowds that will go to the Oz V8 Supercar date in December also, both seem like they have the potential to end in tears.
Two one off "events" that could both have an "interesting dynamic" in the crowd!

Has it really been 9 years since they played in the US? If we ignore they recent "private gigs" - didn't they do Hammerstein around 2006?
That said has it been 9 years since a full blown US Tour? If it is WOW - I didn't realise it had been that long!

I got to thinking today. So if Brain really has completed 3 CD songs, and we first heard aboiut this shortly after the album was released in 2008. That's 3 songs finished in nearly 2 years. So by this pace, the album should be wrapped up by 2018. Sounds about right.
I was thinking something similar, why doesn't anything ever come out in a timely manner? Axl seems to sit on and hatch everything until it reaches a point where the sound is dated, or the musicians on it have left and so it needs to be retweaked and re-recorded etc. So you end up with an overproduced mess.
Anyhow, not saying it's the case with this and maybe he has even shelved the idea - who knows. But it certainly has a familiar sounding modus operandi.

It looks like a Minotaur Rocket Launch, here is a youtube vid of one. Watch the second stage and it looks just like that first vid. Different atmospheric conditions will obviously make the trail look a bit different, but it certainly looks very much like one.

I'd like that Buckethead Shackler's Revenge mix
Reading Apex-Twin's post above sounds like you could get it

Hmm that's really interesting. Perhaps a fully remixed album, with promo, videos, a US tour etc may be the intended strategy.
Axl will try and sell it as being the way the he wanted the album to come out and be promoted etc etc, instead of the way that the big bad record company and management released it.
Poor Brain may have inadvertantly let the cat out of the bag.

I honestly don't understand why Axl won't include more UYI. Most of the songs on the current set list have been done to death. I can only guess he's saving that material for a rainy/reunion day.

^ Yeah I saw that and thought it was a bit strange. I was also trying to work out where they plagarised it from too - lol

The latest news now is that Axl has demanded the withdrawal of all his quotes used in the official press release that was sent around the country yesterday.

Massive news about a huge, huge rock act. Guns N Roses will headline the Telstra 500 V8 Supercars in Sydney!
Yes, Axl Rose will actually be in the country. How good is that! Rest assured we'll be trying as hard as humanely possible to get one of our favourite rockers in our studios.
However, in a strange - or maybe predictable - turn of events Axl has already started causing problems.
Following the official announcement this morning, Axl demanded the withdrawal of all his quotes used on the official press release that was sent around the country.
And it's not as if he said anything controversial. He just talked about how couldn't wait to get into a fast car and was loving the prospect of playing in Australia again.
We'll see what happens but we assume the organisers know about Axl's notoriously diva-like reputation when it comes to touring and playing live.
Whatever the case the show promises to be 'classic Axl' and he's left the door open for more shows in other cities.
It will be the Gunners first shows in Australia since 2007.
Prices range from just $91 for a Saturday only ticket including an entire day of action and the Saturday night concert, or a three day pass from just $156. The concert is free with any Saturday ticket.
All the action happens at ANZ Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park. Tickets go on sale from Monday, July 19.
Unless this is some sort of an attempt to drum up some additional publicity - WTF? There was nothing negative in those quotes - quite the opposite in fact.
Seriously the way this little fucker of a band is run/managed never ceases to amaze me.
