#1591 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 522 weeks ago

A proper Hitler movie is at least 50 years into the future imo. If you are going to do a real bio and not just revisit the tired "look how evil he is!" there will have to be parts showing his good qualities. Think Napoleon movies from our times, he was nearly as big a villain as Hitler two centuries ago. They don't necessarily praise him, but they show him in a fairly objective light these days.

I don't think I've yet seen a film where Hitler is represented as anything but bad through and through, and I don't think men like that are able to fool 50 million people without some redeeming qualities. Is the world ready for a depiction where WWII wasn't started just because a single man woke up one day with insidious plans? Sadly I don't think so.

Would have to be a tv series if they did though. A film wouldn't be able to contain such a grand story.

That Northern Lord who visited Ramsay was very cool. More Varys and Tyrion is good too, but still no LF?

Yeah, good episode, think it's the first one in a good while where I didn't hate or was bored out of my mind with any of the storylines.

Good to see Brans storyline pick up some steam as well, it's only taken 5 seasons.

All too true. 16

Not particularly keen on a new AC/DC album myself. Getting close to 30 years since Angus put out peak material. And we don't want Axl spending lots of time writing songs with him when GN'R has Slash and Duff back in the fold.

What I do want is a rerecorded Best Of. Could be made in a few weeks, and you get the best of Axl paired with the best of AC/DC. Then it's time to start working on a new GN'R album.

Every comment on that video is full of praise, and who can blame them. A few weeks ago I thought Axl was singing good, but not as good as peak 06-10. These however are 80s level performances. The consistency can be attributed to sitting in a chair, but you don't hit those hard notes if the voice isn't there. What a comeback.

It's a brave new world. Like that opposite day George had on Seinfeld.

Lol, poor Bach. Great review. Journo's are too positive these days.

They don't need any promotion as is. I am surprised we are not hearing anything from S&D though. If there wasn't some sort of embargo (or fear of Axl Rose) why aren't they talking? Surely there must be a huge demand. Not like a little extra pr will hurt them.

Getting so fed up with all this BS these days. Can't even imagine what kids are going through being exposed to it. I remember just talking about sex in your early teens at school was awkward as hell. Now they're having these talks in kindergarten and what not?

Aside from some disgruntled hardcores he is getting rave reviews across the board. If they want some material out there they could record a new GH with Axl on vocals fairly easily. I'd pay a 100 for something like that in a heartbeat.

Just hope he doesn't blow out his voice doing this.
