He took over the Dow was 7,000. It took until 2013 for it to hit record highs. From 2013-2017 it continued to rise. From January 2018 - Present it's gone down.

Point to exactly where on the Dow Jones historical chart it becomes obvious Trump took over.

The market currently is up 5,500 points or 30% since the day before trump was elected. What fucking crack are you mother fuckers smoking. Even with a bad 2018 you are still up unless you just now started investing in December 2018. Lol.

lol, it was up 25% Obama's first year,  Bwahahahha. Then another 10% his second year.  Thanks Obama! and that's before we started hitting record highs from 2013-2018!!

It nearly tripled under Obama, yet all I hear from Republicans is how bad the economy was under him. 16

Reality is that the stock market is in turmoil because we're being led by a first rate clown. What's happening is not normal.

Wow, he just asked his panel how long this goes on, 3 out of 4 said past the State of the Union, Jan 29th. Thatd be insane & no way the public stands by him on this.

Sarah HuckS was just on Fox News Sunday, she bombed it.  Just came off with these lame talking points that Chris Wallace totally debunked. Even questioned her when she said "Trump cares about the American people" he stated Dems passed 6 different budgets to reopen 7 departments of government (Housing, EPA, Judicial) that aren't impacted by the wall and Republicans helped pass it, so why is Trump not reopening government?  Sarah just bypassed it and stuck to her talking points.

Shumer really F'ed Trump over by stating Trumps "Months or even years" comment, Trumps tucked away in Camp David & I think they know they'll have to cave. Words starting to leak that our Tax returns might become delayed, Food stamps & Section 8 withheld, and workers are starting to meet some dire straits. People are gonna flip really soon.

The whole thing was gamemanship. Trump had a GOP for 24 months yet holds out on the last day because he never got his wall?  GOP is only doing it this way so it doesn't become a sticking point in 2020.  If GOP passed it, all Dems could've voted against it to make it an issue. Now GOP is trying to get Dems to vote for a 'small amount' for a wall so in 2020 GOP can say to the Dems  "Well you voted for it too!"

If this doesn't even by Wednesday Trumps going to go to shit.

where is the facepalm emoticon, when you need it?

Unreal. Guns N Axl on fucking Looney Tunes debuting a new song... roll roll

You know, this whole saga would make a really good documentary.  Just like an insight into the forums as a whole, and pointing out some of the ups & downs, the rumors, the fakers, the leakers, and the oddities of it all.  MSL, Didn't Merck post on HTGTH, Mysteron, Jarmo, James Lofton, the guy Mike Guilani who broke his wrist & had like 10,000 posts in 3 months, and all the off topic stuff, Fantasy, sports talk, the political thread etc. E-Fish who passed away. Axl loggin on & chatting one night on HTGTH. BBF. The leaked songs, the leaked CD album, the rumored leaked songs nobody seems to have. ROV & Brody. Didn't another big GnR forum close during the Ashba/lean years?

I bet you alot of people in the general public had no idea Guns had this dedicated a following throughout. The fact that all these diehards still log on & post almost daily is pretty incredible. That or pure lunacy but man it's been a heckuva ride.

Oh my goodyyou Debbie downers. Market up today due to strong Jobs numbers. Lol. You can’t look each day and determine the fate of our economy.

This sounds like a direct quote from Trump himself- incomprehensible and mostly a pile of words

312,000 jobs added. 176,000 was the forecast. 3.2% wage increases. PA Snow said we were in a recession. Lol

lol, I'll circle back with ya at the end of the month, or the end of February. Don't wanna base anything off of "1 day".

And I agree with Mitch. I think with it being relatively good times people went bonkers on holiday spending. Retail seemed to hold up better than people expected due to Amazon.

This year coming up should be the best year of the economy in quite some time. Next year is another story. If other economies world wide continue to suffer we will feel it.

This year will be the recession. Economic downturns already begun. By summer it'll be slowing down.

As for who to blame, I like how when economy rides high for 6-12 months after Obama leaves office after years of growth, it's all Trump. Yet, in Trumps second year in office it goes down, it's the Feds fault. If year 3 continues to decline, it's the Feds fault. Heck, the self admitted Trump shutdown, Pelosi's fault.

Apple already admitted sales are down pretty big in China, due to Trumps tariffs affecting their economy. Their stocks down 7%. It's going to be a big month for the market, when corporations tend to release their 4th Quarter earnings sometime after Jan 15th. If it's mostly a downer, the market will drop.

I doubt a CD rerelease unless its some sort of "vaults" era stuff (Ex: GnR 1997-2014 - The Lost Tracks).  Really tho, I think a pure GnR album with Slash & Duff is possible this year. Not sure why, just a last chance at this sorta thing feeling I think the guys have. I think they all recorded alot of stuff, just waiting & hoping if Axl will finally approve of his vocals tracks & submit.

Otherwise, the guys walked away, and that's that.

^^ It'll be interesting tomorrow. My guess is House passes funding with the $1.3B, so will Trump ultimately even sign it, or hold off demanding $5B.  My guess is he will & he'll lose that battle in the eyes of the public ASAP & probably sign it Friday afternoon saying 'We got the Wall started, we'll finish it later in the year but we just wanted to get people back to work'.
