We could go on about this for the rest of the day, but.
yeah I doubt they'll really play it...
Sorry I guess it was a bit of a troll post...just a part of me finds it sort of comical that Melissa is replacing Pitman, whose big contribution was a song with such notorious anti-woman lyrics....I'm not really against it but it struck me as a humorous angle to this saga.
Sort of like how Axl wanted to change GNR so it wasn't only repetitious guitar rock....eventually driving Slash and Duff out of the Band...then here we are with Axl appointed as the new singer of Ac/Dc probably the band with the most unchanging consistent guitar rock sound of all time.
Somewhere along the line i've stopped taking a lot of this seriously and it's all just funny to me. You couldn't make this stuff up

Always felt the lyrics were sub-par and obnoxious.
Melissa's expression agrees in that pic

The preceding line, coupled with Melissa's image and the blood font, would've gone down soooo well.
Hey I didn't write the song....

How many albums did Slash and Axl release before Guns N' Roses?
Yeah but Slash is the player of his generation and Axl is top 5 frontmen EVER.......lets not put too much pressure on Melissa lol

Yeah I think there's a 1am shutdown so if they come on at 10.30 pm could be a full set.
If they show up like midnight not so much.

I think her reception might be a little different if we were to rewind the clock a few years and
and
were still in the fold, but that's just me.
Particularly if Bumble was replaced by Orianthi at the same time.
Would have been interesting ......

I actually think this will kick ass with Axl.
The only thing upsetting about it is Brian - he's such a gentleman and a master of rock - I would have like to see him honoured a bit more than the speed of this replacement.
I wish they could get him out for a "goodbye" song with earmuffs, earplugs and whatever other protection he needs for himself. He deserves some sort of recognition as while people remember Bon, I maintain Brian took them places they wouldn't have gone on the international scale. He was amazing.
Still - I can see Axl doing the job well - I just wish there was a way it could happen without disrespect to Brian.

Original by a mile. C'mon, Slash's 2nd take on it is only better than his 1st cause its closest to the original.
Question for those who dont like Robins solo, do you not like it for his playing or for his melody?
I don't dislike Robin's version but to me it was like he was attempting to mimic Slash's normal style. So it's kinda like under Slash the song actually achieves what Robin was originally going for.
I would have been interested to hear a Slash version without the influence of Robin though too. Like if Slash had put out a version circa 1999.

Well there's obviously people like Bri who are familiar with her, but then I also think it's wrong to say those who don't like her necessarily misogynistic either - as a lot of people didn't like pitman either. Some people just don't want live guns to have playback and electronica in the songs.
That said I think looks have been a part of the acceptance or lack thereof of most guns players. For example, if DJ looked more like Dizzy would people have disliked him quite as much? Part of the problem seemed to be that he looked kinda motley-lite. Likewise if bucket looked more normal more people would have given him the time of day, and almost everyone preferred 2006 Robin to 2001 Robin.
The timing here is awkward too - the return of Slash and Duff makes people think about old school stuff like Coma back in the set, like Axl introducing Slash his old way, so it's a hard time for a new member to join, then the fact she's female may change the traditional outlook/vibe of the band - which I guess not the frame of mind most fans are currently in given this tour seems to be about the past. (And as far as i'm concerned it is a retro-reunion tour UNTIL WE HAVE A NEW ALBUM). But if the new stuff remains as Coma and cooler versions of the CD tracks - well that's cool but it's all re-done 2006 or 1991 isn't it.

were still in the fold, but that's just me.
