I guess I am the only one who didn't go out and rush to buy this record.  I'll probably pick it up eventually.

Jarmo makes it a point to go into the VR section and argue with the fans there and his arguements are really poor.  He talks in circles and yes, he is rude to these posters.  He calls them fucking idiots and II can't believe an admin would treat it's posters that way.

#173 Re: The Garden » Serious question » 919 weeks ago

What I don't get is why there is a separate section for Velvet Revolver and it is practically  hidden.  And this Jarmo keeps picking fights with Velvet Revolver (mainly Slash fans).

I have also noticed that a lot of their articles have disappeared off there too.  I remember seeing one where Tommy Stinson said in 05 that he'd support Axl if Axl wanted to do a reunion show.

The censorship is ridiculous.  And has anyone read Jarmo's arguement.  Is it just me or is that dude grasping for straws when he tries to prove his point of view?

What has happened to Heretodaygonetohell.com?  A year ago, that site was the first place people would go and search for news about their favorite band.  Now it seems to me anyway, that less people go over there.  Can someone fill me in as to how or why all that has changed?

#175 Re: The Garden » GNR forums » 920 weeks ago

I need a mod or admin to fix the poll.  I can't figure out how to go and edit it.  LOL

#176 Re: The Garden » GNR forums » 920 weeks ago

I voted this way:

I picked this site first because they allow open discussion and don't delete non positive threads.

I then picked gnrfrance.net due to they have cool pictures on there.

I then picked mygnr.com.  This site is known for it's bullshit but they at least offer open discussion too.

Lastly, I picked HTGTH.  It's really weird considering this site would have been at the top of my choice a few years ago.  Interesting how things changed, huh?  I think everyone will have to agree with me here when I say that site has really plummented in GNR discussions.

I totally messed up this poll lol.  Can a mod or admin fix this for me so people can pick there fav to least fav please.

Thanks.

Well, the directions are self explanatory.

But list why you voted the way you did.

I copied this from HTGTH:

Let it be known that I have all faith in Axl and this band, and I do believe there is finished music waiting to be released. What I'm beginning to question is whether or not what we've been waiting for is actually the album known as Chinese Democracy. The 06 tour was the last mention of that name, with the 07 leg simply being dubbed "World Tour 2007." Axl and the guys in the band don't generally refer to the album by title, and now we've got Baz saying there are multiple albums awaiting a potentially strategic release pattern. I think there was a Chinese Democracy at one time, and I think a lot of those songs have been re-worked by the current line up to make this new album, but I don't think this new album will be Chinese Democracy, at least not what we perceived Chinese Democracy to be. Nine Inch Nails was all set with an album of material and a concept behind it, Bleedthrough, but sometimes an artist will simply change their mind and want to go a different route. Axl's been held to delivering a Chinese Democracy for so long by the fans, but I think what will ultimately result from the "most expensive album ever recorded" will actually be several albums, none of them that said album. Take this cryptic posting over on Blabbermouth:

I'm good friends with someone in Axl's camp and he assured me that Axl will be releasing an album of new music (which will NOT be titled Chinese Democracy) in April (May at the latest) 2008.
Additional albums of new music will follow with intervals of 6 to 9 months. This albums will not be linked by any particular concept. Can't wait!

I'm not saying it's news and I'm not saying I buy it. I am saying it fits in line with what I've come to believer what Baz apparently believes, and makes the most sense considering the fact this material is most likely done, mastered, and in the hands of the label. A strategic marketing campaign for the comeback ALBUMS of one of the biggest rock bands in history can't be that easy a task, especially in 2007 with the industry pretty much waiting to die.

Think about it.
