Yeah hopefully Azoff will speak out soon, I never had him down as being the type to fall in line with the GNR wall of silence policy.

Unfortunately I think history has proven that it is wise to say nothing until the very last possible second if at all.

That way if things go to shit it's much easier to sweep it all under the carpet by saying that it was simply promoters or the record company etc etc getting ahead of themsevles and jumping the gun when really nothing had been agreed on etc etc.

But if it has been confirmed straight from the horses mouth it is much harder to duck and weave responsiblity later.

Good luck to em I say and I hope they get it off the ground.  But shit until Red hits the stage on the night nothing is guaranteed.

Saw somebody else posted that there is a date now for
Pengrowth Saddledome
Calgary, AB
08:00 PM
Sat Jan 16th
http://www.ticketmaster.ca/Guns-N-Roses … ist/735218

Not sure if this is new info or not (haven't really been reading the GNR threads much lately).

My timer has been at zero for an hour or two (it must be somehow country related), but no surpises I don't see anything except a heap of zeros on the timer when I look at the link.

Gee I didn't see that coming.

I don't have anything against him cherry picking his own line up that he wants to work with. The question becomes year after year after year after year.....why bother? None of them could obviously record anything resembling a cohesive album, and it makes you wonder why he would even go through the trouble of doing it.

It just goes to show you that simply putting some of the great musicians in the world together in the one room or at least individually through the revolving studio door to jam and/or lay some tracks down, doesn't guarantee you great music.

How do you hire an "X factor"?
How do you employ "lighting in a bottle"?
How can you make "band chemistry" contractual?

Unfortunately you can't despite the best of intentions.

That's very interesting - I'd never heard of that guy.

Axl knew the writing was on the wall and presumably intended to do things HIS WAY however that panned out.  I would imagine he knew that Slash et al weren't going to come around to his way of thinking so he moved on, notwithstanding that some "lose ends" like existing band members/employees hadn't been tidied away, that would take care of itself eventually.

Paul Huge playing on Symapthy for the Devil is probably a similar example.  Axl just hired the guy and probably just forced his own way through on this issue.  The other guys could like it or fuck off.

As we all know according to a couple of peoples versions of events, eventually after one too many of these instances they just fucked off.....

Sweet congrat's she looks cute!!!

#1818 Re: The Garden » Settle an argument for me please » 865 weeks ago

Yeah I think you have to saw he's 4th.  Here is a good reason why, lets say there was money involved as follows:
1st $100
2nd: $50
3rd: $30
4th: $10

If Phil and Gary are equal second then theoretically they should split the prize money of second and third between them getting $40 each.  If they only shared the $50 and you said Rob came third then Rob would receive $30 whilst people that beat him receive less money, ie. $25 each.

#1819 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR Sued For Copying Songs » 866 weeks ago

I can't imagine that they would have intentionally just lifted that bit of electronic stuff.

It must be pretty hard to make a song these days without some aspect of it sounding like something that is already out there (even if you have never heard it).

Yes you were correct James this was a joke.  At least you saw the laughing smiley face that I put in there with it.
