I have mixed emotions. I get what he's saying and though he's pretty clearly exaggerating the side show that was/is GnR, I don't know why any of this was necessary. He could have said what he said without going on and on for 12 minutes. I'm all for making fun of Axl because God knows he deserves it, but this is a bit much...

Doesn't it kind of depend on Myles' schedule too? Unless he plans to go on tour without him, which could be possible I guess.

I've seen the band (and enjoyed the show) and I don't consider them to be GnR.

Just now saw this. I'd definitely be down to drink a beer with ya, but I'm workin both jobs that day! If I were you, I would just go to the show. To me, there's nothing like seeing a legend doing what he does best. Then again, I don't listen to Kenn Rogers at all.
I'll be out there for a week - I'm sure we can find some time to catch a beer...
I'm still torn on the KR thing. I like some of his stuff, but not a huge fan. But there's something to be said about seeing a legend as you say.

In addition to that huge list, I just heard last night that there's a 12" Paul McCartney EP coming which features Maybe I'm Amazed. That's great news for me as the only thing I own of his is All The Best which has a ton of great stuff but is definitely missing Maybe I'm Amazed.
If you can somehow get 2 of those, pick one up for me. I'll work out payment and everything with you...

Still haven't decided what to do about this. I get the feeling that I will find other stuff to do instead and just end up skipping it. The only way I'll probably go is if I'm completely bored, and since there's gambling there, that's unlikely.

On some of these AFD songs it's almost hard to listen to Slash because he's come so far and some of these riffs (like OTGM) are so simple. I think he could play most of that song in his sleep. To his credit he sure acts like he's into it, but listening to how crisp he is hitting the notes in the solo shows how far he's come as a musician.
