Well, to be fair, he took off Brian May and let Bumble solo instead. BRIAN FUCKING MAY.
That's only half the story. Brian May didn't even recognize his take after Axl and Beaven were through playing around with it. "But that's not what I played", May said. Axl was looking for something else from the get go. With Bucket by all accounts he found it.
Even if Slash should replace some of BH's material, it wouldn't get thrown in the trash. Perfect material for a box set. At this point any new music can only be good. 1 real album in 25 years is starvation level.

His motive is puzzling for sure. Personally I think he will be part of it at some point, because there is no reason not to. He's played with Axl before, he's played with the other guys. People will definitely want to see him.
Some are throwing around theories that they are saving Izzy and Adler for a 30th anniversary AFD 5 type thing, but that doesn't explain why he's out "promoting" his absence from the reunion right now. My pet theory is nobody called him yet, and this is his way of getting in on the show somehow.

When I first saw people talking about a movie called "Deadpool" I thought, "are they talking about that old Dirty Harry movie?". 
The original band were extras in that movie btw.

Difference between Trump and Mussolini is that the dictator didn't have a lot of support, usurping power with a coup. Trump is more like a Julius Caesar. People love him, establishment fears him.

I'm really not sure what to make of all this. I suppose one has to decide if they believe it's really Izzy first. I think this saga needs a flow chart.
It is Izzy though. Will from this board ran an Izzy fan site for many years, and occasionally exchanged emails with him. Unless somebody hacked his email, then called Will impersonating Izzy's voice, it's Izzy.

If and when Axl puts Slash on CD material it will be to replace Finck et al., not Bucket. Axl appears to have an extremely high regard for his contributions. BH was all over CD 5 years after he left, and they tried to get him back in the band right up until the Hammersmith shows in 06.
The way he clings to material he probably has a cellar full of empty Dorito bags he just can't bring himself to trash. Reportedly stuff from the mid 90s is still in play.

Wow... then things might get interesting in the next four years.... or deadly.
I'm starting to think he might be. At first I thought it was all the usual smokes and mirrors, but after watching him and listening to him there is a fair chance he actually believes all of this. Now that it looks like he may actually get in the big chair, I don't see Donald Trump being satisfied with just becoming President and spend his term(s) as a lame duck. He's going to fight it out any way he can. This man's ego is insatiable.
