I voted Perhaps. Although Atlas and Hardschool have seen several spins from me as well. SOG was a grower. I'd be super interested in hearing a more evolved, fleshed out version.

seems like a general concensus that this is an awesome track

Just heard it and I've got one thing to say....

WOW.

Not 'Wow' as in a mind-blowing epic but Wow as in this is EXACTLY what I would've expected a GNR song in that 95-97 period to sound like.

It totally fits that time period to a tee. Unbelievable.

Needless to say.... I like it, a lot. Is it some massive epic? No. It doesn't need to be. This song never should've been hyped up. It speaks for itself.

Man, he really had something special cooking in the late 90s. Too bad he had to waste so much precious time on it. hmm

Edit: No one ask me for the song. I'm on my phone and can't copy/paste links or anything.

I feel like this pretty much summarizes my impression of the demo. This song takes me back to 1996 and gives me the fuzzies. It's nothing epic or mindblowing, but is a great gnr track. This song seems like it picks up where illusions left off.

Maybe I'm a full on Axl Nu Gnr nut swinger but, I'm really digging this track.

First time online in a long time. Surprised to see the gnr world with leaks underway.

My laptop took a shit and I'm online with my phone. Won't be able to download them for a few days but I listened to each track once.

My thoughts:

CD

THIS is how it was supposed to be. Period. As most of you know, the title track is my favorite. On my bucket list was hearing the original version.

It's phenomenal. It finally gets to breathe and be the tight little rocker it was supposed to be. The album version is a bloated wannabe epic it never should've aspired to.

Couldn't agree more with this analysis. The 99 version of these tracks were ready and didnt need anymore tweaking. I adore buckethead and his contributions are certainly memorable but, this album was ready in 99. Oh and that ominous Beaven intro to CD...fuck yeah. 9
