I edited that post AR. Pics of him "unmasked", even if its not him aren't allowed. Not trying to sound like a dick, but Bucket has always wanted his privacy respected at these sites.
Yeah cool, but as I said, the guy staring straight into the camera in not one but two pictures indicates it's pretty much not him. He doesn't even look 'stoned' or anything (i.e.: so as to 'misplace' his KFC routine).
My money's on this not being Buckethead by a longggg margin. If for some amazing chance it is he does look young + a cool guitarist, if that's OK with buzzsaw that is .

Those pics have been shot down as not him. Eerily similar perhaps, but not. By the way, you should link that instead of imbedding it, because the still pic that shows up is a pic of the man, who some could belive is him, unmasked.
OK, but he seems pretty cool about having his picture(s) taken in that photo (pretty much adds credulence to it not being him).
Buzzsaw, you do know it is James' job as administrator here to worry about everyone's posting habits right? I mean, you know how forums work, don't you? Someone moderates them at their discretion.
Yeah, he should worry more about James' banning habits than posting habits.:haha:
He did a 'Brody'.
That said I better stop 'steering' the thread myself....:)

I got it to work Arcade. It looks legit? What are you wondering is real?
Some people were saying that the airport vid. is/was fake. (Guess they're wrong.)
But this is what I'm wondering is real:
Lofton edit: Picture link removed. Anyone who wants to see a pic that may or may not be Buckethead unmasked, send AR a PM. This site respects Bucket's wishes to not have any "unmasked" pics circulating.

Your vid is no longer available, Arcade.
Well it worked just a second ago. Let's see....
Try this:

As I said - it's very well-known and I'm surprised you haven't seen it.

I haven't seen the airport arrival vid, but the rehearsal stuff looks like him.
As for that guy's story, if we saw the drawing, I could tell you in less than a second if it was a legit story. Bucket's drawings are very unique. The part where he says "everybody wants to see proof" is a real red flag. But we're way off topic now.
While I agree, I am just surprised you haven't seen the airport arrival vid.. It's very famous. He arrives to hook up with this new band as their new guitarist. The vid. is here:
If the rehearsal pic is him as you say - we finally have a pic of Bucket unmasked. Nothing totally shocking IMHO - he looks very, erm.... *normal*. Suffice to say he looks pretty young too.:)
Yes, Buckethead does lots of drawings. I have seen some of them online; a little like 'Borat''s, LOL. But still. And I think I did see a birthday (or 'un-birthday', LOL) one once; there may be many of them in circulation. I'll have a look....

The original thread apparently came from VelvetRope:
"in feb. i met buckethead at tower records in hollywood, he did a free show & a signing. anyway after the whole thing i had a chance to talk to him. ( no, he didnt talk through the puppet, but he was still wearing his mask & bucket). anyway i asked him why he wasnt in gnr anymore & he sayed " your guess is as good as mine".
i then asked him "i thought you left"? he said "no".
i then asked him about what axl said, he said " he didnt know why he said those things, they were very hurtful", the replied " i didnt want to leave the band".
i asked him if the album was done yet. he said " we recorded a ton of music, but he rarely saw axl there, so he doesnt know how much vocals were down". he seemed very confused about the whole gnr thing. i felt kinda bad, but i asked him to sign my chinese democracy shirt & he gladly signed it. he was so nice to me & my son. it was my sons b-day, so bucket drew a pic of himself holding a b-day cake & wrote have a happy un birthday, buckethead... i was going to post my experience on another board, but everybody there just attacks everybody & wants to see proof. but this board is very cool, so i hope i didnt bore you guys. it's a shame he's not in gnr anymore!!!!!!!!"
Two-and-a-half years on, the highlighted part makes me actually think this is bullshit.
Seeing as you seem to know (a lot about) Buckethead... is that vid. of the airport 'arrival' real? What about the 'rehearsal' where he is unmasked with that fat guy (it's a recent pic).

I still don't believe Bucket said that to a fan. He doesn't talk to fans. Unless he taped it, it's B.S.
As for Brain, I checked his site, but there is no appearance schedule on there.
IIRC the fan posted a picture of himself with Buckethead. They were sat at a round table - Bucket in imposing (and rocking!) yellow suit on the left.... They were outside. The fan said he talked through himself not Herbie which is rare but said it was because Bucket 'trusted' him....

If a single is being launched to coincide with a video game and album release, the AFD rehash era can finally rest in peace.
(Yes), because Bucket won't return.:) AFD will have to be toned down to the major hits (+'Rocket Queen' - the 2002 band ruled at doing that!) or rested entirely. And with two new songs now out (this time next week three because the videogame is formally unveiled on July 14 someone at mygnr said and we probably will get the song sooner than later) there is no excuse for them not to lay 1987/88 to rest now once and for all.
I was nice to Brain so maybe he will answer.:) Maybe not....

We're just speculating on the status of various CD era members in that VMA time frame. Happens every year.
And if he was to answer I truly think he will say Bucket won't come back. "The things he (Axl) said were very hurtful" - BH talking to a fan in early 2006 (the fan posted this on HTGTH (IIRC)).
I think we have a mountain of speculation to walk down and Axl/the band have a mountain to climb when they attempt to do this minus the two best guitarists the band/album(s) once had, never mind playing/attempting to play most of their material!
It will be a cover band of both the first GN'R and the first two new GN'Rs (Plan A and B).

Bri? Any info on what Brain is doing currently?
I sent Brain this e-mail recently:
New GN'R song + work with Buckethead...
Hi man,
Love your work in new GN'R!:) Recently some new songs were posted and one of them is this song:
[Linked removed so as not to break forum rules.]
we don't know what it's called. Do you know what it's called? Also: will you be working with GN'R again in the near future? Will your friend Mr. Buckethead be working with GN'R in the near future? You guys ROCKED!!!
Thanks for your help + the tunes,
AR
That was June 28. So if there's any response from him I'll get back to you.
You guys had better be right about this BH/Brain thing because come September... :wtf: Besides I don't think I can take Plan 3 (a theory I got correct) GN'R going on AFD tour #3 - this time minus Finck.:wtf:

Arcade Roses wrote:Incognito wrote:I am willing to bet 'Sorry' is the next one to surface. From what I've learned over the past couple weeks, it seems to be one of the most "available" among the circles. It will surface eventually. For whatever reason, it's one of the songs (that is available) that I am really eager to hear. I'll drop a grand to heat it now. Unfortunately, it is something that I would have to keep to myself.
How much was the guy you were talking to exactly demanding for it? Must be a highly rated song if he was upping those stakes....:)
Too much.
I'll pay a grand for it. No more.
Especially since it will remain unheard by the general public. I think it's more than fair.
Money talks.
This sounds like one killer of a song....:)
I wonder what else he has? (that was not a rhetorical question, by the way)
