some of you are a little worried about us talking to this impostor fellow. move on if you don't like him. if someone irrelevant to gnr is willing to go to this effort for attention he can have mine and it is mine to give, not yours. if you wanna call us idiots for it go ahead but look in the mirror while you are at it. we're just having fun, posting on a forum where that is the idea and last i checked, there wasn't too much else to talk about. what's silly is wasting your time posting, telling us how we are wasting our time posting with this guy. kind of a contradiction, don't ya think? kinda stupid don't ya think?

Green Bay looked pretty damn good with Rodgers at QB. They stopped a team many think could go to the Super Bowl in the Vikings.
unfortunately the vikings decided, after creating a great team, to keep a crappy quarteback to lead them. 1st year qb rodgers made third year qb jackson look like the rookie. 5 straight filed goals against the colts cost them that game.
if you haven't heard, jackson is now benched for the rest of the season in favor of backup qb gus ferotte. i think he has a 40 percent completion average in 12 years or something like that. not great either.
they need to go after garcia.

#1998 Re: Guns N' Roses » FBI Arrest of GnR Blogger Backfires » 887 weeks ago
whether he was behind it or not no longer matters. It's definitely time for axl to make a move of some sort whether it be press related or not. Any news that involved axl coming out of his shell would not go unnoticed by any non gnr board modern music listeners who's attention was grabbed by this alledged bad press about the arrest and be forgotten about when they have something new to ingest.

Strat's right. no one really knew about it, is a better statement.
i guess everyone's experience will vary. mine is quite different. not including other shared gnr news conversations at the college i work at, i had atleast three non gnr/rock fans come up to me since this story and ask if i had heard about the guy getting arrested for leaking gunsnroses songs.
Plus, I understand the argument of "any publicity is better than no publicity", but that applies to everything BUT this.
not true. axl is already a villian in the majority of the public's eye. a villian that intrigues people the same way it offends.

I don't think it is a ploy for marketing. Think about it, the guy who only downloaded the album after hearing about the arrest is not gonna buy it cause chances are he doesn't care about GNR enough. He heard it whereas if it would've been released maybe he would've bought it. GNR needs to make a statement that they are not behind this if they are not. They don't have to say they're against the arrest but that they had nothing to do with this. It's a shame it got to this. GNR don't need a Metallica scandal like this.
good - anyone who downloaded the songs after hearing the story has been reeled in. again, "there is no such thing as bad press". anything that gets people on their computers wondering what all the fuss is about. many will download but what are they gonna do when the album is an exclusive at best buy or wal mart with several unheard songs, and the quality of their leaks pale in comparison to the official version? if you answered "buy the album" you are correct. other acceptable answers include "tell their friends about it".
this is nothing like metallica's napster situation. if you can't tell the difference that's on you because i don't feel like explaining it right now but i will say this: gnr/axl is already seen as a villian so it makes no difference to his reputation having association with this kind of story.
