DCK wrote:So you are saying people spend money on tickets for a show just to protest against the line up?`
No.
They are throwing shit because they are assholes.
They boo because they have a point. He's always late.
This.
Anyone who thinks people are booing and throwing stuff because they want a reunion is really, really reaching.
Yup I agree. The booing, fair enough they turned up late. If you made plans to go somewhere with a friend and they turn up over half an hour late with no explanation, you'd call them on it too, you wouldn't smash them upside the head with a bottle of piss though

I disagree with you guys about the way Homme handled it, I think that was the wrong way as well. He shoulda said, hey kid don't be a dick do it again and we'll need to have security take you home. Not verbally castrate the kid, all that's doing is bullying the guy. Sure he's a dick, he's also a dumb kid. Getting a whole crowd to go along with you and hate on him just cause your pissed off is the wrong way to go about it. Axl, although going off stage was probably not the best idea, had the best idea in that at least in the video he talked to the crowd quite calmly.
Yeah your right

ya know...all this water bottle talk has reminded me of a festival i went to in 1997...edgefest in molson park in Barrie, Ont, Canada...anyway just as canadian band The Tea Party went on nearly everyone in the park...like 40-50000 people started throwing water bottles into the air, cuz the festival organizers had the bright idea of making everyone pay for water. that was the only way you could get a drink of water was to buy a bottle...anyway like prolly half the place starts chucking bottles into the air...it was a fucking zoo...anyway it was one of the neatest things i've ever witnessed, being all chemically intoxicated and all, the singer says something like stop throwing the bottles or soemthing and then they go into their next song and that was it
anyway carry on
something like this

I don't think there's any chance of Tommy leaving

The security was shit and Axl just assumed it was going to be another show and he could turn up late as usual, blissfully unaware of the shit storm that was starting to brew down the road, and when he turned up, security couldn't contain the bottle throwing and boom. Gone.
I don't agree with the bias against the band in the press. Fuck that was still one hell of a concert, and he may not have been dancing round the stage, but his vocal delivery was anything but half assed.
DJ Ashba and Tommy made it !!! Those 2 were just excellent. Rons playing was great but just watching DJ and Tommy doing amateur acrobatics was great.
Fortus looked like a man possessed his eyes were fucking scary,
Very nice first post.
Seemed to be a lot of casual fans there
I don't think there's anyone blaming the crowd either.
