Im pretty sure I saw a video on youtube once of him and Vai with that lead singer from linkin park covering Whole Lotta Love at some music convention. And in one of his columns for guitar world, he mentioned learning some technical licks and scales from Vai.

it's not that Finck was bad in GNR, it just doesnt feel right to hear old songs like November Rain and SCOM being played by someone else. It's not just how Finck plays the old songs either, I feel the same about this when Fortus of Bfoot play them too. The same can be said for Aaron North in NIN; hes a great guitarist but those NIN songs would sound so much better and have alot more energy with Robin because he is the premier NIN guitarist. NIN is Robin's strong point and I'm glad to see him tour with them, I cant wait to go to the show.

I honestly dont care about the gnr situation anymore. If it comes out I'll buy it but whatever. I was gonna go see NIN this summer anyways and this just makes it loads better. I'm so fucking excited right now!!! I always wanted to see a Trent/Robin version of NIN live.

Well of course that site will have it at the top, just look at the content of that site and the other albums/bands on that list. Atleast half of the bands on that list are washed up 80s glam musicians. I'm sure that alot of people would take Angel Down over Poison's cover album.

I second the Mike Ness and Dave Grohl choices but the chances of those happening are slim to none.
