"coming soon"=don't bet your life on it.:headbang:
Ah to be a GNR fan - bitter cynicism all the way!
#222 Re: Guns N' Roses » Shackler's Revenge: REALLY confirmed » 896 weeks ago
Wonder when this tune will leak? No coincidence that the last leaks dropped when they did I reckon.
This opens up so much speculation - A BH track with no BH in the band? Odds on hes coming back.....

And it's official. Good news all around, then.
If you haven't already, you should read the story on Rolling Stone's site. Amazing to see the Bucket-love from all the posters...
Lol, that was a joke right? I saw a few favourable ones but the rest were 'the leaks are trash' 'who gives a shit' and 'Axl should die in a plane crash or hang himself'.

BUT.... i dont think paul was the saviour of GNR, axl would have carryed the fuckin thing on if paul was there or not lol
From what i can recall it was Paul who convinced Axl to keep Guns n Roses alive...i believe that Axl was well and truely ready to call it quits and retire...he was so devestated at how things had degenerated in his life at the time, but Tobias and Beta kept his spirits up and kept him going dring that time....its either that or he was contemplating a solo career and they talked him into keeping the GnR brand going...either way Paul was one of Axl's confidentes during that period of time.
before you ask i have no idea where i read that stuff...for all i know it may be just ramblings of a GnR Forum junkie
.... sic. is the quote man...if it exists he'll know where to find it
regardless there were rumored periods where Axl wouldnt sing or write lyrics to anything as he had totally lost all confidence in himself and gnr
i consider this encarnation of Guns N' Roses a solo carrear lol
it certainly isnt the GNR i knew
Absolutely, this has never really been anything but a solo project to me.

I wonder if/how they'll manage to cock this one up!
I imagine, a few cancelled shows, storming off stage, line up changes, failed deadline of ralbum release will be probale cause lol
Lol, and all the fault of us, the fans!
Lets hope we'll be hearing this song soon.
I actaully feel a little sad that this album may come out soon, the myth has overshadowed the music for me I feel. Its bound to be a massive anticlimax. Unless it rocks of course....

Bill Hicks. The one and only.
Agreed! Didnt think anyone was going to mention the greatest...
So much that he said is still so relevant today.

It would help if they were actually a band in order to obtain the 'most dangerous band' tag once again.

WTF ever happened to "the most dangerous band in the world?"
.......sigh
Playing video games whilst on a bike can be dangerous.
Lol, I once sneezed whilst drinking Dr Pepper and it came out of my tear ducts. Thats was pretty dangerous....
Also those wobbly keyboards are quite precarious.....
Ahhh from the greatest band ever, a band that ruled the world, to the butt of their own fanbase's jokes. If that was Round One, I cant wait for the next one.

Locomotive98 wrote:gnfnraxl wrote:Ouch! I disagree. When I saw them the ONLY song Finck played better than Slash ever did was Seet Child O Mine.
At Hammersmith when Finck butchered Patience there was an audible gasp from many around me and a lot of cringing faces, followed by a lot of head shaking. As for his solo spot - well - it was like a deaf person trying to tune up, whilst on acid. Just terrible - it would've been laughable but to see GNR reduced to that wasnt funny at all. Me doing a solo wouldve been better and I cant play guitar.
So far I havnt heard him play anything better than Slash, and I'm sure thats not going to happen anytime soon. If he's still in the band that is.
He's not a good fit sound wise for Guns, never was, never will be. Hes good in NIN so thats where he should be. Even his recent look in Guns was contrived and fake.
So what was horrible? His patience rendition or his Sweet Child O Mine rendition? And remember on that night he may have had just a fluke performance on Sweet Child O' Mine. His intro to Welcome to the Jungle before the band got on stage was just horrible though. Bucket's was way better. As for the rest of the songs on that night. I wouldn't say he butchered them but he did not do them justice that is for sure. And one last thing. Finck's solo and the one with Fortus was excruciatingly long and awful.
The Patience solo was butchered and his solo spot was terrible. As for Sweet Child, well I cant remember so cant comment on that. And then they played Aguilera, I almost wept. Look out of for a rendition of My Heart Will Go on by Celine Dion on the next AFD tour.
