Did you get that section of the lyrics personally or just keep the copy that was posted online back in the day
Just an online copy of the handwritten lyrics by Axl himself when teleprompters fucked up!

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
there are tracks out there and they're not on the hands of fans and forum people.
If you guys really want unreleased material to either listen to or leak, I'd start approaching record company's staff, assistants and whatsoever. There are people who's sitting on a pile of unreleased material (by GNR and others) and have no idea that it's unreleased or of any value - even if just or fans.
#225 Re: Guns N' Roses » Tommy on being the 'musical director' in Guns » 411 weeks ago
I think he was talking about either Paul or Buckethead, especially because he addresses it being at the beginning, before the first concerts.
It's well documented how he and Bucket didn't click and were like enemies while Paul was really a newbie (Tommy also mentions having more experience than "some of the newer players had")
Finck was good friends with Tommy and Richard too.
back in 2006 BBF didn't click with Tommy either, but it's way later than "The general" nickname.

I'd say fake.

It's insane to think there's tracks with Axl vocals from 1999 sitting around waiting to be worked on and the politics of releasing them sorted out in 2017. There's entire albums. There multiple tour documentaries and amazing pro-shots never released. The amount of cool suff they hoard is crazy, and that's without thinking about what they might have done.
It's tragic that Axl has spent the bulk of his professional life semi-retired when for most of it he could do mind-blowing-world-conquoring stuff on a whim if he had chosen to. Think of the throw away moments - think of Axl doing the cover of "Sailing" in 2006 and that wasn't even really his prime. Even now with an older damaged voice you see Flashes of brilliance when he does Axl/Dc. It's his life to live but the overwhelming waste of his abilities is hard to watch.
And /thread.
Very nice put, monkey.
Perhaps he is ill too. But it's funny how it's always the proshots and the professional recordings where there's suddenly technical issues and illness.
Anxiety and stage fright, perhaps?

Long time no see, folks! I just had to come here and say that I basically gave up on GNR after I saw them for the second time last year.
I went to the Vegas shows and then, in November, got to see them in my hometown. 5 thousand miles and 7 months apart and the concerts were basically the same. I felt the bureaucracy around them and that was it.
I'm not even on forums or following concerts and setlists anymore. all the excitement has gone.
My main source of GNR news has been rolling stone, and I got to hear some new covers added to the setlist, also thought the Black Hole Sun homage was in good taste.
Besides that, to me, it's release new songs or, at least, make a plan public to move forward or get off. Nostalgia tour is ok and all but it has been this way, with multiple lineups, at least since 2011.

I attended the Guns N' Roses concert last night in Porto Alegre,my hometown.
Exactly 7 months prior to that, I saw them in Vegas, on April 8th.
Just a few things that crossed my mind during and after the concert:
The Good
- Band is tighter than before but that was to be expected. After the US tour, they've grown a lot as a band
- Slash is KILLING on the Chinese Democracy material and, as was the case in Vegas, my impression is that he really digs playing it and rocking out to them
- Chemistry between Duff and Axl has improved a lot since Vegas and the videos I saw from the beginning of the US tour
- Tempo of most songs is adjusted and most of them feel as they are supposed to
The Bad
- Tempo of a couple of songs feel too slow, making them sound lifeless (brownstone, especially)
- Guns became a boring band. Setlist is the same as it was 7 months ago. No additions, no variation, no new jams or even a different encore
- In Vegas I thought the reunion was for real, meaning artistic and musical output from this lineup. As I saw them last night just repeating the same shows they've done, almost like a 9 to 5 work, I kinda lost my appetite.
Others
- Fernando really thinks he's famous or part of the band. It was cringeworthy seeing him cheer to the crowd and nobody reacting.

To consider alternative nation as media is a stretch tho
