Axl had his run at it. What we got was a ten year tour on an OK album and not much else.

Time is ticking, and he should just get over it and reunite with the original GNR. Instead he'll probably dick around for another year or so and release something with the "new" guys.

I avoided this thread because I think the GOP is nothing but a big clown show, and usually I get dragged into a debate with the Paul folks (usually young guys) who don't answer legit questions about how flawed and out of touch his political and economic stances are with a bunch of very intelligent, quasi-philisophical, completely paranoid lectures that don't and can't answer a simple question. Exactly the way the extreme libs (again, mostly young guys and gals) I wasted way too much time debating with at the beginning of the Bush administration, with their silly paranoid delusions, that make "real" government overreach and misbehavior get overlooked. Maybe I'm getting old because I have no patience for that stuff anymore.

But the one thing I can't stomach is how everyone of these candidates (except Paul, I'll give him credit here) drop Reagan's name at every turn, when in reality, Ron wouldn't have a chance in today's republican party. He would be booted out as a socialist liberal and a compromiser. Newt would push him out into the wilderness himself. Ron compromised to get stuff done, even if you agree or disagree with his policies, and I disagree with a few. And he knew, even with all his "Government is the problem" stuff, which he knew was great red meat, that there is a real place for government to help its people and talked about the danger of trying to eliminate it and cast it as the big bad boogeyman.

Without a doubt. The GOP of today would call Reagan a liberal and pile on him with their 24/7 media outlets relentlessly.

The entire Raygun mythology is hilarious anyway. The GOP zealots obviously don't have a clue of what he did during his time as President. Not a surprise though considering how clueless they are in regards to most republican history. Last weekend my MIL said she couldn't believe that I wasn't a republican because I was so fiscally conservative. It was hard not to laugh, since it was obvious she sincerely thought the GOP were fiscal conservatives. Born again since Obama came into office maybe....but other than that...NOPE.

Two things:

1) The more I listen to Tattoo, the more I love the shit out of it.

I agree, it took a few listens but then I couldn't get it out of my head. It's a great tune, and I love seeing them together.

I also scalped some expensive tickets (front row side just like GNR) last time, so I'm just buying whatever this time.

I would imagine that would be unreal pain. We've all had it miss a bit during an intense nasty and THAT shit hurts. Dick bent sideways? haha, fucking shoot me.

Really? I thought I heard some Eddie guitar tone, that sounded not only Van Halen, but Van Hagar-ish.

Then again they had to basically drag Eddie out of his house to even work. So maybe this album is more driven by Dave.

After listening to this track for nearly 24 hours straight I think it reminds me of a DLR Band track because the backing vocals from VH aren't there. Also the pace is very similar to many Roth solo efforts. Eddie's guitar work is fantastic to hear though, and there is no mistaking who creates that sound.

Overall, after listening so many times, I really like the song. Think they did a great job. Lyrics leave a bit to be desired, but this is music to be enjoyed not contemplated.

The video is pretty cool, reminds me of "Jump" in many aspects. There is something bizarre seeing them together, looking older, especially in the end of the video, almost surreal ya know? Again, didn't care for the balloons though, lol, are they playing a bar mitzvah? 16

Right now the economics (to me) still don't favor buying one of these cars. It's still cheaper to buy the time tested Toyota 4 cylinder and put 300k miles on the thing. There is also diesel technology now that produces great MPG and you can run one of those cars for 10 yrs no problem (although most people don't keep cars as long as I do.)

I knew a guy whose dick hemorrhaged whilst fucking and had to be hospitalized. The guy fucks and has fucked EVERYBODY on the planet, totally disgusting. So there is some truth to that statement. 16

I remember when a mutual friend told me about it, the email title (no lie) said "Dick Explosion."

All the new stuff is always out of the general public's price range.

A great documentary to see is "Who killed the electric car." Worth a watch for sure.

Hate to say it, because it's the obvious gripe, but the Van Halen sound is incomplete without Anthony singing. I like the song though- it makes for the prospect of a promising album. It sounds like modern VH in a good way.

I tend to think it sounds more like Roth solo than VH, especially the style of song. It is catchy though and I have been listening all day.
