I used to do that stuff too. Just kinda swing in under the radar, contribute and leave.
I got some sort of college volunteer award at some show, I no showed.
I'm not un-appreciative of it, I just don't do it for that. A simple "thank you" is all that I require.
If you're doing something for the thanks, you're doing it for the wrong reason.

What choice?
There's only ONE choice. He HAS to perform with them.
I'm telling you. Anything less than that is gonna look HORRIBLE, and the media is gonna run WILD with it.
For the first time in a LONG time, Axl Rose has to give the people what they want to make this work.
If they perform, the only thing that will work is a set of songs performed solely from AFD/Lies by the original 5, and then do a UYI tribute with Matt & Dizzy out there.
The new band thing just isn't gonna work, unless they're saved over for some sort of "show ending" big collaboration deal and some of them jam on stage.
As far as I'm concerned, absolutely nobody from the new band should be anywhere near this. They had nothing to do with GnR's prior success.

To me that's the epitome of selflessness. These people are simply paying and walking away. No waiting around for "thanks" or an acknowledgment.

Yeah but the GOP NEEDS a Gingrich in there on the campaign trail.
Romney might be the most universally likeable of the "known" guys on popularity and policy, but he'd be Bob Dole II. A waste of time for the Republicans. Obama would fucking destroy him the debates.
They need a scrapper going into those debates to kill Obama's regained momentum, and Cain was that man. Now that he's gone, the only one left is Gingrich.
Romney has "Vice President" written all over him in 2008 and now.
My guess is, despite the swipes they've been taking at each other on the campaign trail, is Gingrich gets the nod and hitches Ron Paul to his wagon to try to pull moderates and independents in to steal Obama's thunder from 2008.
I actually believe quite the opposite. I think Romney is the best chance the GOP will have against Obama. If Newt wins this then you can count on Obama for 2012. His beats both of them already, but really whips Newt-by about 13 points when polled.

And it's not like the voting machines aren't rigged to begin with, so...yeah, these polls are pointless. Must be nice raking in thousands of votes in towns with a few hundred registered voters.
How do we know this is even you posting?

I remember Axl criticizing meet and greets before and the artists that charge for them.
They're pretty lame to be honest.
Paid meet n' greets are totally lame. Thumbs down.
