I have no concrete evidence, but watchout for some Led Zep gigs towards the end of the year. I don't think there will be much notice, so for UK residents keep those fingers by the buzzers.

By 'end of the year' do you mean this year or next? And how do you know?

Cheers

Surprisingly, this year. Don't take my word for it though.

My brother went to school with Robert's son, my mum has played tennis with Robert a few times. So we hear bits and pieces from time to time, not necessarily from source but those around him.

Cheers, I'll keep my eyes peeled. Led Zep reunion before Chinese Democracy. Its the end of the world as we know it.

Awesome vids thanks.

Damn it's a crying shame that this guys talent is just going to waste.  21

Its not going to waste if he loves what he's doing.

Still I know what you mean, the guy should be on the GNR board, not on here.

When I saw them play in Auckland last year, the defining moment was Patience - the song was a highlight of the set for me - Axl delivered as did everyone.

Solo time and Finck steps up to the plate. Words can't describe how he butchered it. The most simplest and melodic of solos was turned into a tuneless, shapeless, off key mess. All he needed to do was play a few low key blues licks.

I can't even begin to articulate how much I disagree with this thought. I link the way Finck plays the Patience solo best of any I've ever heard.

Ouch!  I disagree.  When I saw them the ONLY song Finck played better than Slash ever did was Seet Child O Mine.

At Hammersmith when Finck butchered Patience there was an audible gasp from many around me and a lot of cringing faces, followed by a lot of head shaking. As for his solo spot - well - it was like a deaf person trying to tune up, whilst on acid. Just terrible - it would've been laughable but to see GNR reduced to that wasnt funny at all. Me doing a solo wouldve been better and I cant play guitar.

So far I havnt heard him play anything better than Slash, and I'm sure thats not going to happen anytime soon. If he's still in the band that is.

He's not a good fit sound wise for Guns, never was, never will be. Hes good in NIN so thats where he should be. Even his recent look in Guns was contrived and fake.

I voted for If the World, awful song in every respect.

Love the title and the music actually sounds half decent for a change! Nice to see they remembered Kirk Hammett is in the band - that solo sounds killer. Just hope it doesnt come out featuring a dvd of Rob Trujillo's absurd crab walk. This may actually turn out to be pretty good.

Good work on the promo as well, its great to actually be kept informed of stuff.

When does it actually come out though?! Cant wait for this. But then again I was straight to the shops to  get St Anger on release day - To buy it, and to take it back.

what are you saying here? just about st anger? or the load and reload albums aswel?

Just St Anger really, Load and Reload had their moments and for a change in musical direction worked on the whole because they had some strong songs - and some absolute clangers too. St Anger though - 90% of it was just terrible. Invisible Kid? My God. Lars drums? Oh dear. Saying that, I havn't listened to anything after Justice for about 4 years now....

I actually have high hopes for this album, but its too easy to get dissapointed with these guys and I may still end up stinking but the snippets so far do show promise.

I find Madagascar boring. Just cant get into it and I've had 6 years to try and appreciate it. Oh maybe thats why.

I also couldnt see the fuss about Breakdown and everyone loves that. Maybe my ears are knackered.
