Thanx! But it won't play here in Norway. US only!
Damn those invisible internet-borders!

Saw this over on htgth.
Around 09:30, DJ talks about future plans and he mentions that GNR has some dates booked for February. That's the first I've heard of it.
Is he just mixing his different bands together and mentions the wrong band or did he just put his foot in his mouth again?
The only new rumoured date(s) I've heard of are somewhere in Polen in the summertime.
Surprise acoustic shows maybe? Would be a good idea to do some lowbudget shows to smooth the fans over until the next "real deal".
One can dream!

"wasn't a big fan of GN'R back in the day",
I know!!! And TMS rarely has an episode where GN'R doesn't come up.
Jim Florentine is really cool, and he's a real true blue GN'R fan, though.
OT, did you happen to see TMS with Tracii Guns? Really cool moment when he talks about Izzy. Giving him big props for the music/riffs for AFD. I really didn't know Izzy was already writing that much of the material for AFD before Slash came on board. And how much of the musicans on the scene looked to Izzy back then as to what was cool.
Tried to find that interview online, no luck!
Got a link? Or did you watch it on TV in the US?

After the intitial "OMG-an-Axl-interview!"-factor had settled for me, I gotta agree with what several posters on here said. I find the whole interview a bit...I don't know...pussy!
There are several moments when it's pretty clear that Axl is willing to open up on various touchy subjects, and the hosts go all "jeez-Axl-you-fuckin-rock-dude!" on us!
Sad!
I'm glad it happened, but can't help to think about what it could and should have been like!

Thanks for the comments on the video, guys. Naltav, that bit by Clint was actually in the end credits of the movie, as the car is being driven away along the coast. The Jamie Cullum version actually follows Clint's. I would have used that for the mix/video too, but I think it would have been overkill.
Thanx for the info! Great job on the video!
Thanx to this video, the melody and lyrics has been playing in my head these last couple of days!
The movie is prolly out on bluray now. I should go get it!

No. But I did get that the title of it was Gran Torino. So I suspected that the song could have something to do with the movie. I saw the movie when it came out, thought it was great, but couldn't remember that there was sorta like a theme song/melody or even a song that stood out.At least not that I could recall. Still can't remember the song from the movie. Was it during the credits, maybe?
I also checked out the original version by Jamie Cullum. I guess that is the version that's in the movie(?). Didn't care too much for it. A bit to jazzy, for my taste.
Anyway, I'd love to hear Axl/GNR do the whole song!
PS: never knew Clint was a songwriter! He IS a walking zen!

Never bothered to check up on what that little bit Axl has done before November Rain actualy is. One of the songwriters is Clint Eastwood himself.
I kinda dig the melody and lyrics.

..what a rare photo. Axl playing guitar on 'Maddy"live in Rio 2001, He wrote all the gtr parts, including lead gtr. I recorded him playing lots of awesome guitar parts back then, I don't think people know what an original and cool guitar player he really is,....those were fun times.
Also, Buckethead and Paul Tobias are truly awesomeI don't think he's on twitter, as far as I know. I seem to recall some of his posts coming from facebook in the past.
Yeah, he posted it on his fb-page.
Interesting indeed. Sure most of us new he played a few secs of guitar on that performance and I read somewhere that he had taken some "guitarlessons" from some guy.
Would be even more interesting to know what guitarparts he wrote on ChiDem (and the past). Is it specified in the album credits who wrote the guitarparts? (I'm at work, so can't check right now...)
I allways figured that since Axl have always surrounded himself with top guitarists that THEY wrote ALL the guitarparts. Pitman's comment kinda points to that not always being the case... Hmmm..
