Whatever the situation around Izzy's touring... I wonder what it means for any unheard material sitting in the vault that he co-wrote? We know he wrote Down By The Ocean for Axl, we know he worked on a lot of the tracks in the Velvet Revolver vault. Can he veto their use on any putative future album, or does the material belong to Axl (or Slash and Duff?).

This is Down By The Ocean.

No, it is not. has already been confirmed by Axl in the chats that it is not.

It's two different songs.

Heavily focused on Team Brazil and Axl. Really good interview after all.
" - Beta, what is your function on Axl's life?
-  Mother"

Reunion started in 2014. Axl requested Fernando to get Slash's number. Beta said that if that was a joke he's kill him. Axl called Slash due to a Coachella offer. Slash was on tour and the two reconciled on a dinner at Axl's house.

About Izzy and Steven joining:
"Steven still isn't 100% due to his back injury". Sounded to me like a non answer to the question, to not be negative.
"With Izzy, I wouldn't know. We agree to something he goes and do something else"

Just wanted to highlight this part.

To me AC/DC is not a thrown in for good measure type of deal. To me it's his security check. In case he sees himself in all the painful drama he always saw himself with in the past with Slash and Duff, he can halt GNR activity and move on to ACDC.

I think of 2002 as the "iconic" CD-era line-up. Buckethead, Finck, Fortus, Dizzy, Pitman, Stinson, Brain and Axl. It felt like they'd ironed out the kinks and locked down a stable unit; unfortunately they never got to crystallise around the release of the album.

I'd love to hear from the ones involved what happened inside the band after the 2002 tour imploded and Bucket exiting, in 2004.

I voted TWAT, but only because I've seen Coma 5 times and TWAT only once, and that was with no Slash or BH.

Yeah, I voted TWAT for my own personal reasons! smile

Seen Coma live twice and never saw TWAT. Would be great to see it with Slash on it.

No it's not. Particularly if they play two shows in the same city.

+ loadsa people will have already seen the show on youtube before going to the gig, making it even more imperative for surprises from night to night.

How many have you seen on YouTube and how many have you attended on this tour?

#250 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Set-List » 480 weeks ago

They experimented more at the beginning of the tour (TWAT, Yesterdays, Used to love her) and now seem more focused on what they know to work best.

Also, remember that it's really rare for somebody to see more than 2 concerts in the same tour. I saw the 2 in Vegas and got fairly different setlists but got no TWAT, that I absolutely adore.

Also on the uyi tours it was a different setlist only in 1991 and after it was basically the same for each leg but with different ordering. Keep in mind that the production was much much simpler back then and lighting, pyro and fireworks tend to make the setlist more rigid.
