Unforgiven III does sound pretty lame to me too.

I hope they can make an album similar to RTL, MOP and Justice.  But when they were making ST Anger they said similar things to what they are now about going back to their roots etc etc, and we all know how St Anger turned out.

Cliff Burton was obviously a huge part of the song writing and they have never been able to fill the void that he left.  (a bit like an Izzy for a GN'R comparison - although probably even more important).  I hope they can pull it off I would love to hear another album like MOP (my favourite).

Does anybody else think that Guns won't want to go head to head with a new Metallica album and that the release of this could factor into the timing of a CD release?

I mean if Metallica dish up another St Anger then you would love to release CD at the same time and hopefully shit all over it.  But if Metallica hit form again Im sure Axl wouldn't want to risk anything overshadowing his little solo album.

#2514 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash joins Fergie on stage for a rendition of SCOM » 929 weeks ago

I really think Slash is in danger of being overexposed.

I mean I'm not going to comment on each individual thing and whether the Bill Gates thing or the Fergie thing were good or bad, I'm just talking generally.

It's seems that every other day he is appearing at something.  I mean I know he likes to play, and he seems generous with his time, but as I think someone else mentioned he needs to get some mystic back.

When every man and his dog has seen Slash play at every wedding, party and everything else in between then it's does take some of the gloss and enigma away from him.

Just my 2cents.

#2515 Re: Guns N' Roses » Dizzy tells fan: "Robin still in the band" » 929 weeks ago

I thought it was standard GN'R policy to either deny or ignore everything until it's overwhelmingly obvious to the contrary what is really going on.

Great example was Beta's interview to (was it classic rock?), where she said "the album is done, everybody knows that".

I must have missed the official memo that came out saying that album was done???  Everyone just joined the dots and eventually deduced that it was likely it was done.

I'm not saying Robin couldn't come back - but I really think the offical line is "Robin is still in the band" - but the reality is they have no idea whether he will be coming back or not.

Yeah I was trying to work out when he last would have played that live?

#2517 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » UYI Tour Diary » 929 weeks ago

I'd never heard of the tour diary - cheers for posting.

Unfortuately I think we will have to wait for a reunion before all this type of shit gets released sad

But they have a mountain of stuff that people wanna see and hear so theres plenty of $$'s sitting there waiting to be had at some point.

#2518 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR, Rock Band, the VMAs and 4 albums » 929 weeks ago

Do know what I think is really funny about this Rockband 2 shit - Australia still hasn't even had Rockband 1 (the original released here).  Apparantly there has been no good reason for the delay either.

You can't buy the first Rockband shit here yet and they are already putting out Rockband 2.

#2519 Re: The Sunset Strip » The BATMAN Thread » 929 weeks ago

Man I would imagine it will look amazing in IMAX!  Worth waiting!

No doubt you will give us a review afterwards?

#2520 Re: The Sunset Strip » The BATMAN Thread » 929 weeks ago

Ok cool - it must be the same release "date" then.

When are you off to see it tejastech08?
