You really dont think they have made 20-25 more since 2002-2007?

No.

What would be the point?  TWAT was the first song they wrote, IRS dates to around the same time as OMG, The Blues is pre-01, Better i would expect would be around the same time, and a lot of names that have a good chance of being on the album have been mentioned well before now.

Also, if there were new songs, we'd have heard rumors of new titles by now.

There are definently not 20 new songs.  I would say at the very max there would be 5, probably most of those being just ideas, not a real song that would be even ready for a demo.

It is hard, for the preteens. Surprisingly, a lot of girls seem to find their self-respect around 15 or 16. But those preteen years in middle school are a slutty, bitchy affair.

Unfortunately, not enough of them find that self-respect around that time either.

Just this last year there was a record number of high school pregnancies at my old school.  I wouldn't want to know how many abortions went on, and my town isn't big.  5000 people, plus Air Force base (which isn't the biggest either).  It's gone way too far when this starts happening.

Axl's doing it for fun.  ACCEPT THAT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH!

It's been over a decade since he's really released anything more than one 'demo'.

And here i thought GNR fans would be happy to hear Axl back at it again...

#2554 Re: Management » Ok, I'm a little confused guys... » 922 weeks ago

So he's reopening the old site or what?

Sorry but that won't fly.  He has yet to give any plausible explanation for the abrubt dissapearance of ROV.  It wasn't the server that made the site (or by the end even the guy who was technically in charge), it was the members and staff that made the site so great.

He himself started ROV as an alternative to other sites, one that would be open and not full of lies and bullshit.  He failed miserably at that.  By not giving us any explanation as to why the site closed it ceased to be the community it once was.  With him in charge, it will never again be the community we had.

That's why where the site is doesn't matter.  It was always the people that mattered.  And we have most of those people here.

I still liked SMF better, just because of the features and how you could actually view your own profile, however this site is doing great so far.

I agree totaly. People who like the hard rock sound (like myself) will like it and people who don't will ignore it rather than bash it much because they just dont pay any attention to the 'has been' rock music scene. I think it would be riskier if it was experemental in some way - as then it would prob get ignored by the popular music scene and then rejected by fans of the old school rock.

Exactly. He's making music for his fans and fans of this music. He isn't trying to break new ground. It's so tiring to hear people and their fucked up expectations and when they aren't reached it's automatically considered trash.

I agree.  This song is just some good old rock, and to me Baz doesn't really sound overly dated on it.  This song isn't something spectacularly new, but it's not horrible either.  It's a pretty standard rock track i think.

Those are some great lyrics guys!

Another Soundgarden song from the same album.

Mailman

Hello don't you know me
I'm the dirt beneath your feet
The most important fool you forgot to see
I've seen how you give it
Now I want to receive
I know that you
Would do the same for me

I know I'm headed for the bottom
But I'm riding you all the way

For all of your kisses turned
To spit in my face
For all that reminds me
Which is my place
For all the times when
You made me disappear
This time I'm sure you will
Know that I'm here

I know I'm headed for the bottom
But I'm riding you all the way

My place was beneath you
But now I'm above
And now I send you a message
Of love
A simple reminder of what
You won't see
A future so holy without me

I know I'm headed for the bottom
But I'm riding you all the way

I agree CC.

It's like some of you were expecting the second coming of Christ with this song.  Just because it has Axl on it, doesn't make it mind blowing and spectacular.  Take it for face value, it's a good rock song that Axl sounds good on.  I think the song is very good.  Sure, it's nothing like Better, CD or any of those leaks, but this is Baz's solo album, not Chinese Democracy.  So just calm down.

Axl's got some good parts on this.

This is much better than i thought it would be.
