Anytime MSL starts up, it's like stirring a hornet's nest of the nuts out there.
And I agree with James, whatever is left out there in the hands of hoarders, needs to drop, all at once.
At worst, it forces Axl into rushing another album or two for release, then we get some studio-quality finished versions.
This is how the game is played, Axl wanted it to be this way.
Idk if wanted it this way is the right term, but he's forced himself into having things go down like this. He needs to learn when to step back and say, "ok, enough is enough, 3 guitar tracks, overdubs, and 4 layers of vocals are enough" 
We do not need anybody who can play guitar to add more layers

speaking of "hate votes" and chilipeppers.....
ever since under the bridge, they've fell into a comfort zone and they always churn out the same generic sounding song as their single...that has made me not like them so much...i love BSSM and Mothers milk but everything after sucks balls IMO

They're the separate instrumental master tracks from the Rock Band 2 disc. You'll be able to hear only the bass in better, for example

Really liking it is fine. A few people might legitimately think it's the 2nd best (or best even) album of the decade so far. I am 100% behind anyone liking the album. I just didn't expect there to be enough people that liked it that much to have it make it that far even at a GnR site.
CD wouldn't even get nominated at an impartial site. I just think overall we're a smarter site than to rank CD #2. Maybe I'm wrong.
It's not that we think it's the second best. It's just there were albums that we wanted to get out, so we put votes towards those first.

I can tell you for a fact that Checkmate is in several of our very own forum member's possesion and will be heard "soon" by all, according to my source.
In addition, the Chinese D masters AND the often discussed, but never leaked, backstage 2002 VMA footage will FINALLY see the light of day.
We may not get a tour in 2009, but we will certainly have a few new goodies to enjoy and discuss.

What's with everyone hating on this song? I think it's very good. I think it's pretty catchy. Everytime I've heard this song I'll be hearing the chorus all day in my head.
