The story was Bob told him it needed more work, Axl said no and they never spoke again. Obviously something happened after that, but I wouldn't say Bob necessarily talked him out of it. Either way it's a shame. If Bob had just agreed to mix it we'd probably have that early album. Who knows what happens after that.

It was...bloody lol.
Mostly I'm just happy to be rid of Caitlyn and Talisa, though I must say Cate gave an excellent performance here. Her spotting Bolton's chainmail was a great moment. Don't think there was any cringe moments from the other actors either. All in all a quality episode. This season is miles ahead of the last one.

The difference is Vin Diesel has a fan base. Sure he blew his shot to be an A lister back with Riddick 2 and Triple X, but he's the kind of actor who can always eek out a respectable living doing lesser action flicks. What does Walker have without FF? Obviously they're both extremely lucky to be part of these films but at least Diesel has the potential to have something of a career after this. At best Walker is looking at Chad Everett territory.

I'm surprised he's held out for as long as he has. Since 95 pretty much everything he's done and said has been hated on by the old band, the record company and the fans. Thinking about it like that it's not too strange he's now doing the nostalgia act. Why should he apply himself? Most people give him shit anyways. The people like us, who are anticipating any new music he creates can't number much more than in the few thousands these days.

Big Pharma will be handed the ownership of selling you your favorite high, with the usual massive premium attached. Growing your own will remain illegal to ensure the government gets their tax cut from their blue chip buddies.
It will be the same for the guy on the ground, just no jail which s cool I guess.
I'm not too sure about that. Of course they don't want you to grow it yourself, but like with alcohol and cigarettes the vast majority of people tend not to bother when they can get a finished product at the store. I'm thinking they'll allow it since it doesn't matter much anyways. Either way they can't put people in jail for it if the product becomes legal. I'm guessing a fine, maybe probation. And that'll work for most connoisseurs I think.
Definitely not buying any Monsanto weed though. God knows what kind of crap they'll put into it.

Me_Wise_Magic wrote:Saw Fast 6 the other day. A fun action film. Nothing more. I enjoyed it with my bro. Don't know why they need to make so many besides each film making good profit at the box office.
The biggest reason is they get better and better.
One of the strangest series life I've seen. The first film was a typical sleeper hit. Relatively unknown actors on a small budget ending up as an action gem. Then the inevitable sequel sucks, the third one I heard so little about I thought the series was dead for sure. Then they bring back Diesel for the fourth, ok this is gotta be the last right? But no, that one was a big enough hit to up the budget for the fifth movie which was a big hit, and now they're making the SIXTH movie on what? 150 million budget? Strange enough in itself, but even stranger considering most of the actors are washed up or getting close to it and the films ain't that great either. Paul Walker must feel like the luckiest guy on the planet.

Just as I thought we were heading for a summer without any international football.
Of course, it's more a friendly knockout than it is a proper tournament but it'll be worth it just to watch Neymar. I general I'm looking forward to gauging the quality of the teams. Spain and Brazil along with Germany look to be the favorites for the next cup. Spain might be declining though, and I only mention Brazil because of the home advantage and their history. From what I've heard their team is not very strong these days. Italy is always a contender but the team is very old and having the tournament outside of Europe could mean an early exit for them. Argentina needs Messi to step up.
I think Germany will take it this time around. Great, young team. Many of the players will be fresh European champions and with 18 years since their last cup win it feels overdue (24 years in the WC).

Saw Star Trek: Into Darkness today for my birthday. It was really good. Not sure if I enjoyed it more than the previous film/reboot. Benedict was an amazing villain and tried some new elements and old Trek lore. Won't spoil the film for others.
Haven't seen it, but once I heard Benedict was playing the villain I could hardly believe it. This great stage actor in a Hollywood popcorn movie? Can't wait to see it.

From a PR standpoint I have no idea why they released that. Enjoyed it though, for very much the same reasons as you monkey. Not often you see bands put themselves on the spot like that. But again, it really makes them look so bad I still have no idea why they did it. After watching it Hetfield has basically gone from badass rocker to insecure drunk, Lars too is insecure and a bit of antagonistic asshole. Doesn't seem particularly intelligent either. Hammet is revealed as the feminine doormat. I'm actually quite shocked they saw that on tape and thought, sure let's release this, it will be good for our image!

For any who didn't watch that ashba interview he said they were working on a couple songs to ad for rockalahoma
But haven't we heard that one before?
On the other hand, if we see some changes it might be indicative of something to come.
