Macron picks a Conservative PM. The left and socialists are completely defeated in France. But will still argue that the left has any power in Western Politics. I guess we'll see how the socialists/progressives do in Germany.

Cool. Did you see Trump?
No. If he was there I'd have been kicked out of the west wing.

So I just had the most amazing day. I was invited to the White House a few weeks ago, but I didn't want to say anything and jinx it. But I got to stand at the Oval Office, Roosevelt room and stand outside the situation room. Oh, and stand at the rose garden and press room. Fucking surreal.

The same thing I'm saying now. This needs to be looked into. I tend to agree with you, Comey was let go because he wasn't a team player. That's fine for almost any other position, to include AG, but not FBI director. It's his legal authority to do so, but he's not a dictator and he needs to explain himself to the American people. That doesn't mean he needs to cater to James Brown (who was fucking embarrassed bad on MSNBC last night when they played video of her demanding Comey be fired just months ago), but he needs to explain himself.

It's only "retarded" if you take your talking points from the right wing media. Otherwise they are two entirely different things.
Except I posted here before any media outlet had a chance to spin it. That whole consistency thing I keep yammering on about.

Flagg, you have to keep in mind that it's okay to think that Comey should've been fired over his handling of the Hillary scandal in the final days of the election process; yet at the same time feel that it's completely unethical for Trump to fire him when he's in the middle of investigating Trump's ties to Russia.
So let's just stick to the facts here:
Fact #1: Trump thought Comey handled the email thing just fine, actually commended him on his "guts" for speaking up. source: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/t … mey-230542
Fact #2: Trump did not fire Comey when he took office, I don't think I need a specific source for this...
Fact #3: Comey was in the midst of investigating Mike Flynn's ties to Russia during his stint as campaign advisor to the Trump campaign. Source: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/james-comey … e-updates/
Fact #4: Trump fired Comey, with his administration citing his handling of the emails/clinton case as the reason, completely contradicting Trump's earlier statements. Source: http://edition.cnn.com/2017/05/09/polit … ed-letter/
That's some first level banana republic type shit, right there. Speculating, I think only three conclusions can logically be drawn:
Trump has ties with Russia that he does not want exposed, and Comey's investigation was a threat to him. Sure, there's no proof of this, but given the above facts it's also not out of the realm of possibility
Trump actually has belatedly come around to the idea that the way Comey handled the Clinton scandal was not appropriate, but is too dim to realize/doesn't care about how the optics of this are incredibly bad for him. I'm happy to believe that he just doesn't comprehend how ugly this looks, I'm not really inclined to think he has actually changed his mind about Comey's actions last October though
There's a third unknown reason for firing Comey that the adminstration chose not to communicate, which raises the question as to why they would not just state that instead of coming up with what would then be a lie
Either way, bottom line is that even if you think Comey is the devil for nixing Hillary's chances of winning this election (that was a monumental mistake, if you ask me), it is perfectly fine to question (or even get outraged) about how Trump handled his firing (a clusterfuck of equally monumental proportions, if you ask me). No contradictions there.
It could be 2 or 3. I'm not defending Trump. I want to know why Comey is fired. But claiming it was to coverup Russia is retarded. Screaming for Comey to get the boot and then crying foul cause Trump gave it to him is even more retarded. It just shows that some people will bowl at the wind regardless.
I can't understand why your so confidently convinced that there were no shady dealings when Trump has a long history of shady dealings.
What does "Shady" mean? The Prime Minister of Bangladesh came out today and said Clinton called her to get a favorable action for a donor to the Clinton Foundation. That's shady, but I don't know if it's illegal. Trump had a lot of "shady" business deals, but I don't know of any that were illegal.
Firing Comey would do nothing but bring more attention to any alleged illegal activity with Russia. The new Director of the FBI needs Senate approval, so it's not like Trump can nominate some stooge that is going to sweep it under the rug. Not to mention agents who worked on the investigation are still present. So the very idea that Trump fired Comey to protect himself is absurd.

There's still zero evidence Trump colluded with Russia. We know Clinton broke the law.
These are exactly the kinds of statements that have me picturing you working as Bill O'Reilly's replacement at Fox news. You are so self-assured, you can turn a blind eye to every smoke signal on Trump, but with no facts, speak as though Hillary's guilt in breaking the law is a proven fact.
AND you continue to bring her up (just like Fox) when she is as irrelevant now as irrelevant can be.
Classified information was found on her server. The law was broken. There's nothing else you need to know. Does that mean she should be in jail, not in my opinion. But that's the issue. You have zero actual evidence Trump colluded with Russia. But some of you are convinced he's a Putin stooge. There is actual evidence she violated the law, and you want to stick your head in the sand.
I'm not interested in another flame war over Trump and Russia. But you can't claim it's irrelevant when she gave an interview blaming Comey for her loss, you guys post almost daily Trump stole the election, and Trump fired Comey in part, because of how he handled the Clinton investigation.
I personally don't give a fuck she emailed some shit. She was the Secretary of State. She gets wiggle room in my book. As I've said repeatedly, I just care that they lied about it and insulted everyone's intelligence. "You mean wipe with a towel lol!"
Appoint a special prosecutor to look at everything. Collusion to the leaked Intel to the media.
