#21 Re: Guns N' Roses » Slash Blames Media For Axl Feud. » 564 weeks ago

Axlin, I know that now, that Axl Rose officially became the synonym of failure, it's a hipster thing to defend him and not care about reality. You'd probably find HTGTH a better place than you used to.

But maybe, just maybe, Slash N' Duff tried to pick up the phone. Maybe they called the Axl camp, but nobody answered. You portray Slash like he'd be The Devil manifestated who possessed poor little Duff's free will, but Duff really seems to be az independent man (since he survived alcoholism) and he's the one who has a university degree in economics/booking or what. He knew what he was doing and why he was doing it.

Maybe, just maybe it wasn't a publicity stunt, or the suspected evil-doing to hurt Saint Axl once again. Maybe, just maybe they've learnt from the past that this is the only effective way to defend their interest. Remember, they were dealing with a guy who managed to get the band's name from them; who later left their band; and started a new band with  the same name and they were invited as employees. You should think of this first when you're trying to define dirty legal moves. What Axl did is so ugly in every possible terms, that the others can't even come close, even if they were suing Axl 24/7.

BTW the trial shows that what Duff and Slash sad was right. Their money was cut short. I find it amazing that you act like the hate-heated press release of Axl's lawyer would be the truth.

Also, I think that trying to rewrite past, or at least trying to battler over it again and again is Axl's fans last shelter from the reality. That we're talking about a musician who only cash grab once in a while with the old hits and has no intention of making new music. The definition of a has-benn, I guess. But these debates are good for you to hide the truth even from yourselves.

Boys, if even his employees can't get in touch with Axl, than how could his enemies? I'm not surprised that after they didn't get the money (I still find it mysterious that one day it was all directed to Axl), they sued.

BTW haven't you got tired of all the past bullshit and fan fantasies and counter fantasies? I'm afraid a lot of GN'R fans followed Axl's footsteps and lost their connection with music and only here for drama and conspiracy theories. Some day we'll make a beer ad, too.

It's a good track, could have been on Snakepit II's Ain't Life Grand album. I like it, but still waiting for something amazing, cause it is not that (for me).

My WOF list till now:

1. Bent To Fly (8/10)
2. 30 Years to Life (7/10)
3. World on Fire (6/10)

Can't wait for the new video!

On the other hand what can we read into this? A few weeks ago when Duff played with Axl we were speculating if he left the "Slash camp" and joined the "Axl camp" instead. Also, very few people can even talk to Axl who talks to Slash.

Yeah and the supposed "big guns" are still unheard. What I read Battleground, Avalon, Wicked Stone and The Unholy are the songs could be the best. (BTW Horrible, horrible song titles mostly.)

World On Fire is a mediocre song, but good for work-out. I really liked Bent To Fly. A catchy song with a nice atmosphere. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice song. I was BTF-addicted for a few days, which rarely happens.

Do you think the other guys who don't speak have integrity? I think they have even less. Unless you think they are whores and whores do what they're paid for and just need to shut up.

I can't understand all the Ron bashing here. Sure he's been whining about GN'R for years now. But this is only because he's the only one there with artistic integrity. He wants to create. The others are only there for the paycheck. Can you imagine how frustrating this can be for an artist to play other people's ancient songs in the same order day by day, when the band has big potential?
I also don't get the "he's the new Slash" stuff, like it would be something negative. Yeah, Slash used to bitch (more directly) about Axl and his (non-existant) working ethics. He'd been bitching for 2 years then quit. Interestingly enough, the same people who blame him for his "bitching" blame him for leaving the band. What should have he done? What should Ron do? They tried and try everything to get Axl, this (once) extremely talented man fulfill his potential. or at least create something new instead of ripping off the fans with the same old shit again and again. Unfortunately Axl has all the power and he's only using it for doing nothing. Such a shame. Really, what should Ron do? He should do the Robin? The "now I'm out, now I'm in, now I'm out again" scenario? Or the "I'm the Whacko Jacko of guitar, build me a chicken coop, oops I left just weeks before the new nostalgia tour" BH route?
Ron's more honest, sincere and has the best intentions of moving forward than anyone in the band since Slash N' Duff. There is a chance that Axl doesn't wanna record with his new band at all. I don't think it'd be a Ron-specific problem, since NOTHING's keeping him from making an album without whoever he wants. The problem is he doesn't wanna do anything, but living his high life. since it's extremely expensive, he needs to whore out once in every 1 or 2 years. That's the truth. He's totally lost it and what's even worse, he's become a sell-out. He's a sad parody of his former self. He's everything that he once fought against.

#29 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash "World on Fire" chart thread » 565 weeks ago

I guess World on Fire wasn't a proper single. Just a teaser, cause the album's release was too far away. Hence the low budget "lyric video". I really hope that Slash will choose a strong song 1 or 2 weeks before the release date and promote it like a "first single" needs to be handled.

The "great news" will be about Kings of Chaos, I guess.
