Big scandal here in Alberta. Apparently the Flames (NHL hockey team) were allowed to jump the queue to get the shot. Looks like they paid off some higher up in the government to get it done.
So hockey players take priority over pregnant women and children. Give me a break.

Here's me and the wife at the Habs/Flames game Oct. 6:
And here I am in my Halloween costume:
Billy Mays met up with Vince Offer (Slap Chop and ShamWow!) later in the night... madness ensued:

I'm voting for this one.

Crash Kelly opened when I saw Alice Cooper a few years back. Nice simple rock band. And Gilby produced their debut album, so that's a nice connection.
If it's Theory of a Deadman, Default, or Nickelback, I'm not going until 11. Seriously... rock fans actually like them? ugh. I'd rather see Justin Timberlake and Hanson do a set with Barbra Streisand.

On my keyboard £ is on the 3 key and $ is on the 4 key. I used to have a compaq laptop knocked off from the factory and the eedjit who got it for me took one with a US keyboard, no damn pound sign!
It was a freebie I suppose, but it also meant I was the only guy in college who couldnt write "£"
Off topic, but it's funny... technically you had a pound key. What I mean is, we call the # (on the 3 key) pound. I know, you folks like to say square, but how many squares do you see that actually look like #?

is his fake hairline receding?
Those cornrows aren't real... you can see little bits of the glue. He's takin' a piss.

Just saying... they need to play concerts where the population is. Maybe it would be different in the summer when people can count on a nice drive up the QEII. But in January? That's a suicide mission!
The way I see it, there's approx. 1 million people in Calgary and another 1 million in Edmonton. There's like 89,000 in Red Deer. Are you telling me that 10% of the population of Red Deer would go to a Guns N' Roses concert in the bone chilling dead of January? Well no, people can drive from Edmonton or Calgary... but how can anyone guarantee that people would be willing to risk the trip in January?
Dude sold it out in winter for Motley Crue, Tragically Hip was in Red Deer in January and the place sold out instantly. Where you from originally?
I drive back and forth between Calgary and Red Deer all winter long dude. It's not the suicide mission you're making it out to be and the -40 degrees stuff normally happens in February
Trust me on this one man. Red Deer has a surrounding area of like 150 000 people. The drive from either Edmonton or Calgary isn't that bad. Red Deer would make perfect sense. Plus if it were such a risk nobody from Red Deer would ever venture into Calgary or Edmonton in the winter for concerts let alone on a daily basis.
See I'm coming from Newfoundland where you can't plan to do anything in the winter because there's a blizzard every 2nd day. Of course, at least they plow the roads there.
And I gotta say, I can't tolerate the cold. -20 is the coldest I'd ever experienced until last year. we had a stretch of -43 with windchill here in Cow Town and it was truly miserable. I can't imagine working up in the mines in -53.
With all that said, I stand by my original statement... it's January. Cold, possibly snowy, and too far to go. I guess it's more of an "is it worth it question." I mean, the Saddledome is 10 minutes away, Red Deer is 1.5 hours. I don't think I would risk buying the tickets for Red Deer in January in lieu of a concert at the Saddledome. At least, you'd need more than Axl to drag me to that.
Oh and, I've got my tix. Was thinking of floor, but F that. Me and the wife want a good view and to be able to drink/piss whenever we want. You can't do that in GA.
Right behind the penalty box! hope the Suicide Girls are there again this time.

^ can't argue with that. They should be playing the EPCOR Centre or Jack Singer Hall in Calgary. The Saddledome's shape makes it have terrible sound.
