Yeah, but that was just a short back story. A full movie? There's just so many more things that can go wrong. If they're going to give him a love interest it's a suicide mission.

But as you say that's nothing compared to Han Solo. That's gotta be an automatic fail.

What's the issue, her taking lessons or you paying for them? Either way you should never do something that doesn't feel right for you (and that seems pretty obvious it is in this case). Refuse to pay, if she goes ahead and does it anyway you gotta decide if she's still a girl you'd want to settle with. Not because she defied you, but because there is too much of a conflict of personality.

Just be a man. Let your woman do what she wants, then decide if you like it or not. There's plenty to go around.

The immediate problems arising from this:

A whole film about Boba Fett means you got to humanize him, that means taking the mask off. Which in turn will demystify the whole character.

Replacing Harrison Ford as Han Solo? No, that's impossible!

Pretty boring list. They could have at least have had one daring choice to show they know what they're talking about and not just going by chart positions.

Just 10 songs is impossible without feeling you're betraying a family member. 13 is the best I can do.

Indispensables from each album:

Welcome To The Jungle - Probably the coolest opening in a rocker in all of history.
Nightrain - Best rocker overall.
Rocket Queen - Magnificent outro and tasty dueling in the riffs by Slash and Izzy.

You're Crazy (acoustic) - Axl's strongest vocal performance.
One In A Million - Just a beautiful song.

Don't Damn Me - Never played live. Their most underrated song by far.
Coma - Simply an amazing epic with some very strong lyrics by Axl.

Breakdown - Brilliant lyrics and structure. Underrated.
Locomotive - A monster. 7 minutes of badass rock turns into the most brilliant and beautiful outro.
Estranged - Axl's magnum opus, crusted with some of the best solos Slash ever produced.
You Could Be Mine - In almost any other band this would be the ultimate staple. In GN'R it's just another 10/10 rocker.

Catcher In The Rye - Tender rock like only Axl can do it. Great soloing.
There Was A Time - Best solo in a Gn'R song? Also contains some of my favorite Axl wailing.

I don't know if I'd go so far to call Slash a liar, but I've always thought that he says what people want to hear or whatever paints himself in the most positive light.  He's really good at playing the game, that's why he comes off so well most of the time.  Axl is pretty much the complete opposite in that respect.  Some people could view that as a more honest approach, or he's just an asshole.  Maybe a bit of both.

Lol, why not? He's been caught in a big lie at least once. He still thinks it's ok to steal if the victim is rich.

Umm...did Ali ever say he was a lawyer?

I don't know. Did anyone else?

Something like that would be my guess though.

Slash was wanting to be back in the band at least up until the infamous 2006 visit.

I think that implying he's a liar is far aggressive. I've never seem Ali being disrespectful with anybody so I think this is pretty unfair.

That's just a humorous comment on the wild theories going on in the posts above him. Nothing wrong with that.

The 3 stooges before him on the other hand...

Let's just forget for a moment that questioning the honesty of fellow members without evidence is rude and disrespectful. Also forget that in essence it's boring and irrelevant. Ok, so let's test this Ali is a shill theory:

Filling the position: Can't just be any guy from the street, must be someone who knows what he's doing. That in return is going to cost. In a competitive market at least 100k+ year full time. For a band squabbling about 70 thousand that seems excessive. How about someone part time? Axl's got plenty of lawyers right? Maybe he just gets one of them to drop a few posts here and there and write hours on it? Well, like any freelancer we know 15 minutes becomes a full hour so just for rudimentary work on a lawyers fee that's still gotta be a few hundred bucks a day across 3 sites, probably more. You're not paying a 100k, but at least around 30 or 40.

Ok, that's certainly feasible for a rich man, but what are you really getting for this money? No matter how much money you had, would you pay 30k to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic? I can totally see Ali's post frequency of about 1 per day starting to unravel the negative forces rallied on the forums against Axl for the final battle. I mean, I'd definitely consider paying serious money for something like that. And I'd make sure I get him to waste his time on HTGTH too, for appearances sake.

Having entire sites under your control might do something for you. And in fact that is what happened. How much are they paying Jarmo? Maybe some hosting fees, backstage passes and a free ride on the touring buss? But they're gonna pay some lawyer more than that to go and try and win over the 20 man strong Evo faction?

I know finding a supporter of Axl at a GN'R fan forum these days is about as hard and shocking as seeing an actual Christian at a norwegian Christmas Eve mass, but it is possible. It's also possible this person simply went to college and learned a few things besides keg games and the harsh lessons of unprotective sex. Which in turn may lead him to adopt some words not everybody understands.

Seriously though, you prefer Bumble's solo? ron

I've tried to like Bumble's solo on there. But while Brian May's solo (even if supposedly edited together by Axl and some producer) is full of melody and sounds nicely structured to fit the song, Bumble's solo sounds just disjointed and odd... Like he's resisting temptation to shred, and play something melodic, but doesn't know what he's doing...

Again, props to you if you like that, but somehow it doesn't sound right to my ears. 10

I listened to it again just to check, and yes that solo still makes me slightly lose control over certain bodily functions. The bend is so intense, makes the emotion of the song resonate perfectly. The outro solo is also incredible. Catcher is in my top 3 on the album I think.

Actually wasn't sure if that was Bumble or BH until now. Makes me all the less worried about Rons future contributions. I haven't heard anything quite like that in his solo work (feel pretty much the same way about 21), so I guess the force is strong with Axl indeed.
