Just finished the new season. It was great, a true return to form for Dexter. And a much better season for the character than the one we were left with.

Doesn't it?

Why then is everyone who works for the organisation media shy?

By nature of their extreme fame Slash and Duff field gnr questions for life but they always answer with "it's fun, can't recall, don't know, don't ask, and I'm here to talk about fluff".

The other guys like Dizzy and Richard and Melissa, Frank etc really only take interviews when they have a side gig and get cornered then they usually make vague promises about how lots more happens than we know and it's all going to be bad ass until they are asked when and then they hear their mom calling outside and have to go.

The actual management seems to only talk to the media or make public statements to tell us what victims they are of outside circumstances or how desperately we all need to go fuck ourselves for the crime of liking the band.

Yet, weirdly, the minute people leave this organisation, like DJ and Bumble, and Gilby and whoever they tend to go back to sane and rational communications with fans and media.

So if it's not that Axl requires a culture of silence and secrecy around the band, then who does it come from?

All of this 100%

Just started watching Manifest on Netflix. Quite an interesting premise - a plane full of people disappears for 5 years, and returns with the passengers having not aged a day, as it appears to them as only being a few hours up in the sky. And they are trying to work out what happened. I’m three episodes in, and it’s pretty good so far.

Has anyone heard of them reaching out to collectors for memorabilia to photograph? That might give us hints of the time period they are looking to cover.

Over at mygnr there was a thread dedicated to just that. I think the band was in touch with the same guy that assisted them with the AFD Box

Just watched Don’t Look Up on Netflix. Thoroughly enjoyed it, DiCaprio was great, and the film scarily reflects the stupidity of our society with social media etc.

Highly recommended

After 1991 they were shit? They were a gloriously bloated cabaret act (in the best way) in 1992, and 1993 they stripped it back to being a pretty bad ass rock n roll band.

Could you imagine getting that gig in Bluray quality? 11

If we get the AFD box equivalent for UYI, I’ll be sorely disappointed. As it is, I’m still annoyed they didn’t include any live video or audio in the AFD box. It was mostly overpriced junk.

They have a great opportunity here to do something truly great for this anniversary release, let’s hope they don’t fuck it up.

Saw it last night at the Australian premiere in Sydney, as it doesn’t come out officially (stupidly and pointlessly delayed) until New Year’s Day here.

Anyway, I absolutely loved it.

Complete fan service, but fan service done right.
Yeah, it still had it’s flaws, but for the most part, I think Jason Reitman did an excellent job with this.

Premier of their new music “lyric” video for Hardschool…?

So they couldn’t even edit together live footage from the last tour to put together a proper video for the song?

All these half assed efforts. Why do they even bother?
