It's funny cause it's not really a war on drugs, it's war on people, using drugs.
War on terror, poverty, global warming, crime etc. Just another excuse for decent citizens to foot the bill of a growing police state. Over here we have police shaking down middle school students in class with narco dogs. They even go down the main street sniffing up people, and do surprise visits at night clubs to bust people with some residue in their pocket.

Hathaway seems an awful choice for Catwoman. Fully expecting that aspect to bomb.
Otherwise hopeful to see a summer movie for once that's actually entertaining. The last few years have been utter dread.

...a studio cut of Chinese Democracy was but an elusive dream? To compensate the forums were littered with more or less mythical stories of people who had heard it but somehow was never able to get a recording of it.
Here are some of the cheese picks I remember:
-The fat kid who met Axl in the street. Our beloved red head then allegedly gave the kid a ride in his car while blasting CD all the way through.
-The carpenter who did a job in an apartment. In the CD player there just happened to be studio recordings of new GN'R music. Never got to make a copy obviously.
-The kid who walked by Universal HQ and apparently heard CD songs being played through a window. Recorded a few seconds of The Blues on his legendary crappy cell phone, a clip which of course was scrutinized for months on HTGTH back in 05.
-The last one dates back to the stone age. I think it was around 2001. Some mods over at Hell had everyone fooled that there was a forgotten B side made by the old band that was more epic than NR and Estranged put together. Entire lyrics were invented before the joke got blown. The song was called "Labyrinth".

If you want somebody to slam that new jacket of yours you just bought, my door is always open.
I think Aliens and Gladiator are terrible films, though very enjoyable on a blockbuster level. So it's not that I can't stand those type of films even though I wish them eternal damnation. This however was more like Robin Hood. Fail on every level. Forced and cheap homages to the previous films, token black men and a crew that doesn't seem to care at all when somebody dies. Seriously, they don't even mention it, like it never happened.
That being said, a proper directors cut (+45 to 60 mins of extra footage) could make this a decent flick. As it is it just feels extremely rushed.

Prometheus was abysmal. Ridley Scott has officially lost it and is now basically reduced to a technical savvy studio shill. And there needs to be a law so we can prosecute people like Lindelof. The script makes Alien Ressurection look like a Shakespeare play.
Theron is hot and bitchy, Fassbender is kinda interesting and there's a few nice pictures. That's about it.
