Twitter sucks. It's a real cesspool. They are always making head-scratching decisions. They really stepped in it this time.
It's gossip. Really that's all it is.

I think Big Tech & Social have some upcoming hearings or rulings on anti-trust and monopoly issues. They're likely playing things safe in an abundance of caution, as well as extent a measure of good faith. I think they know this election seasons gonna get crazy, so are trying to be ahead of the curve.

I'll rewatch the video later, I think you guys are viewing & following this wrong. I don't think Dems are looking to implode this like they did Kavanaugh, instead their hammering away at her on the ACA, Election Fraud, and Roe v Wade (Although I don't think that's as sellable an issue, unlikely to get overturned & I think the public is tired of that as a campaign issue. Covid/ACA & Election are more 'urgent' so to speak, and can rally the base.
She did not answer that the President cannot push back Election Day (Come on..??), to recuse herself if a case came up over Nov 3rd ballots, and even if a president can pardon themselves (only slightly concerning of an issue). They're not looking for a huge blunder from her, rather a pivot. Personally I'd have hammered home the reasoning behind not wearing a mask to an indoors superspreader, and did that sound like good judgement at the time.
As to Ahmari's article, do we know what the article is about? Is this drastically different than the Fake News tag or whatever?
And armslist.com is an ecommerce site. Pretty sure its always been a violation of FB to 'promote sale of firearms', maybe they didn't always prohibit the site. Same thing probably happens with Gambling websites, or did, gamblings more legalized now. I'd be curious to try to post a marijuana dispensary site, although, lol, I'm afraid it would go thru. Gambling sites used to advertise on TV their "free' .net website, well it didn't take a genious nor an email marketing campaign to get them to move over to the real money .com website.

I didn't find it "EMBARRASED" Klobuchar, not really at all. I was waiting for the knockout punch during the final few seconds. Barrett comes off like a person who's dad practiced things like "Memorization" frequently, and pranced around proud cause she knew her alphabet or multiplication tables early on.
It's overrated anyway. People who invent 5G, the internet, wifi, streaming video etc are smart. Lawyers, judges etc, are people who are booksmart.

The ballot harvesting and limiting of places to drop your vote in Texas is a disgrace. Fake ballot boxes too? If this is what you have to do to keep your state 'red,' then it won't be long before Texas turns blue.
I know some on this board have no problem with tactics like these, but wow...if we can't even agree that everyone who is eligible should get to vote with ease and convenience, we've got much, much bigger problems.
I saw that on CBS News last night. Houstons county, which apparently includes a good part of its suburbs, only has 1 dropoff location, at one of the sports stadiums. Apparently they were going to have more but the state, put thru a bizarre law allowing only 1 per county throughout the entire state. So yeah its uneven to each, however Houstons has like 5 million people in its county, whereas rural counties might have 100,000, and people more used to driving. Apparently the complex parking lot you're not allowed to walk into, so you must be in a car, eliminating people who take the bus. Houston is also a fairly large, sprawling city as west coast towns were built later, not condensed like NYC or Boston.

I think the SC has been getting carried away in the last 2-3 decades. Should have 15 year terms.

New tracks for the public, in digital & physical format. That would generate new revenue and make the artist feel better (given the tracks are good and promoted proper).
Commission a proper documentary film glossing over the career of the artist. Get 'his side' out there, so that people could applaud his career achievements.
Let the artist slip into further semi-retirement, feeling secure with whatever legacy he has at that point.
That's an interesting take. Instead of 'hoping' it all comes together again, just accept what he did, sell it as a story, and let it be. Not sure Slash & Duff would be thrilled per se, (no tour, film focusing on Axl etc), but it's a different take than the 'Release a great album, release the vault, tour etc' opinions.
Almost more about just accept that its over. Monetize that.

Voters Blame Pelosi, not Trump for the impasse on COVID stimulus. But don't let our resident political experts know that! They're in touch!
lol Headline of link: Yahoo News/YouGov poll: As opposition to Trump's pandemic approach grows, most voters want Senate to pass stimulus before considering Amy Coney Barrett
Body of content:
While slightly more voters blame Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (43 percent) than President Trump (40 percent) for Washington’s continuing failure to agree on a relief bill, that dynamic has in no way boosted Trump. On the contrary, Trump continues to trail Democratic nominee Joe Biden by 8 percentage points among likely voters (43 percent to 51 percent) in large part because they have taken an even dimmer view of the president’s leadership on COVID-19 in the wake of his own recent hospitalization and the broader White House outbreak that has left dozens infected.
way to spin it.

The optics sure aren't good. She doesn't come off as likeable by refusing to answer questions, especially, remarkably simple & clear ones. This isn't boding well for gop senators in close races, they're facing push her thru & lose. I think its their only option, voting no on her won't help them win over voters, as gop constituents will be turned off and not support them anymore either, especially stand in line during a pandemic, so they won't even vote.
The Senates about to flip hard.
She doesn’t need to be like able. Once she’s appointed she could be a murderer but her appointment stands.
Yea i believe you’re right...i see 51 Dem seats now with the potential for 53-54.
Agreed. I just mean the # of votes in Nov she pulls in, both for & against her. I agree 51-54ish. This isn't going well, trump isn't doing well, and covids likely getting worse as it gets colder. GOP is tied to this SC choice and covid as they've been lock step with trump on it overall, there's little getting around that.
