see, I've read the actual articles and know that there were a few "confidential" emails sent to the aides of Rice and Secret to Powell's. They weren't asking for classified remarks to be removed and sent as Clinton did.

And I repeat, guidance and policy were different under their tenures. What is so hard to grasp that Clinton set up a private server that she used exclusively, and encouraged aides to scrub markings.

Clinton personally shared classified email. Her entire intent was to skirt FOIA requirements and we now know that she outright lied when she said she turned over all work related emails.

If you want to compare Clinton's coordinated and intentional violation of the law to a dozen emails sent to Powell or Rice's aides over the years, there's not much more to discuss. No amount of context or evidence is going to change your mind about Clinton.

No her predecessors didn't do the same. None of them setup private servers in their house, housed and shared classified material, and then lied about it. More importantly, the laws and guidance changed between Powell and Clinton.

Jefferson had slaves, so can Clinton own them too?  These false equivalencies and mental gymnastics you perform to avoid acknowledging Clinton was/is in a league of her own is astonishing.

Did you even have an email account in 2001?  I know a lot of people didn't. And Powell wasn't discussing significant events over his Juno account. He flat out stated he rarely used email, whereas everything Clinton did was over her own personal email sever, despite being advised repeatedly against it.

When the October surprise comes, what's your excuse going to be?

Yes, Powell did send classified material over private email, so did Rice. Again, you're going to the well with a REAL false equivalences with slaves. We're talking how intelligence was used, misused and what the consequences were.

James, what in the DNC emails have you so up in arms?

What October surprise?

You guys support Trump, logic does not apply. I'm not trying to be mean, but you're following a huckster. I know Hillary, good and bad, I still take her by a country mile over the tangerine.

Do you have any evidence Powell and rice sent classified material over private  email?

Hillary mishandled classified material. End of discussion. If this is the basis of your argument, someone you think may versus someone who did, there's nothing more to discuss.

It's ludicrous you guys are more outraged over what Trump said versus what Clinton and the DNC have actually done.

Do you ignore the rapist and focus on the guy who threatened to rape someone over Twitter?

I agree it's a 'joke', but man.  Siding with a foreign country over hacking is pretty close to encouraging espionage.  Are we not sane here??

His whole campaign is just comical. I think in time his ego, quick talking & wittiness will just get the best of him.  Then again, I've said that since September.

Who are the stravinski brothers?  How many of these were handed out for the award that year?

I'm moving closer and closer to supporting and ultimately voting for Gary Johnson.  He actually seems to be gaining some steam and it may not be a wasted vote as it would have been a few months ago.  They need to get him into the debates (and he's very close).  I think he'll rip them both to shreds.

Here's a fun election scenario that has about a .01% chance of happening (Maine and Nebraska allocate some electoral votes by district).

Hillary and Trump both don't reach 270 delegates.

The election goes to the House of Representatives to decide.

The House, being Republican and generally not fond of Trump, votes for Johnson.

The end.

Johnson would need to get electoral votes to be able to be voted on.  The House gets to vote on the President among the 3 highest candidates with electoral votes.  Since no state provides proportional votes and it's unlikely Johnson would win to get the single vote in Nebraska or Maine since those districts would certainly vote in favor of Trump or Clinton, there is no way Johnson wins the white house under this scenario.  Not to mention it would be a civil war if the house did so.  Though I would enjoy the popcorn if they did.

#3748 Re: The Garden » 2016 Presidential Election Thread » 512 weeks ago

you know how the left wants to always accuse of the right of being racist, religious bigots?  If these leaked emails have proven anything, it's how the DNC is still the party it was through the 19th and 20th century.  They still view people of color as objects to be controlled.  How many of you are still going to support the DNC when your head has been forcibly removed from the sand?

#3749 Re: The Garden » 2016 Presidential Election Thread » 512 weeks ago

I just finally got time to watch Trump's speech.  That was simply amazing!  Hillary has alienated the progressives with her pics and the Bernie supporters are going to be hard pressed to come out after it's been leaked the DNC had the fix in from the start.  Better start getting used to a Trump presidency.  The days of feel good, do nothing legislation while allowing this amazing nation to fall apart at the seems are coming to an end.

Randal is a bad ass navy seal type guy with crazy skills, sort of like Steven Segal in Under Siege but with a more all-american feel. Maybe Jessie Venture with out the conspiracy issues.

haha, while I wish that were true, it's most certainly not.  I'm probably a good 30 pounds overweight and am probably more of a glorified Geek Squad member than anything like Segal in Under Siege.
