What's this - Duff no creative input? That guy is much a big part of the original GN'R as Axl, Slash and Izzy were.

Check out his solo album Beautiful Disease, or Loaded. That boy's got talent!

^ very true.

And without laying more blame on Axl for his mental issues, isn't some of the reason Duff and Slash were so trashed all the time is because they were trying to pass time while they sat around and waited for Axl to get his shit together?

And looking back over what Axl wrote, it just seems more than anything, that there was a lack of good communication between them all.
Surely if Axl said, hey guys "going on late is the only way I can perform and when I feel most comfortable on stage" do you think they might not have gotten so pissed at sitting around waiting for him?

And with allot of the other stuff he brings up, it sounds like they just needed to get in the one room and talk to each other, because allot of it ended up being "he said this", and "he said that" and ultimately that turned them against him.

Last time I checked... it was. 22

According to who?

Interesting to read that the music Slash brought to GN'R (ie. Snakepit) was done and Axl wasn't allowed to change anything, even lyrics. I think I'd read Axl mention that before, but reinforcing it again shows how Slash didn't want to compromise anything this time.

Wow, that was a really deep detailed read. There is no way in hell there will be a reunion with Axl and Slash. You can tell that there is way too much shit between them now for it to ever work again.

It's great to hear Axl's side of things, but I still don't believe he's completely a saint either.
It's too easy to say he's innocent when he's the only one of the original lineup left aside from Dizzy. They can't have walked away without reason. I can't imagine dealing with Axl's ways would've been any easier than Slash not wanting to compromise his ways.

Interesting that he said Fall To Pieces was one of the tracks Slash bought to GN'R. Could you imagine that music with Axl on there?!?!
I'd love to hear what Zakk and Slash sounded like together too.

I was a huge AIC fan and still listen to them every now and then, but the new music in the latest video doesn't sound like anything particularly interesting, just sounds like stock standard riffing.

I still look forward to hearing more though. Jerry is a great guitar player, and playing back together again with Sean and Mike I'm sure will bring out something pretty good.

I know the chances are slim to none, but I thought I'd ask anyway - any chance you might make a guest appearance on Slash's upcoming solo album?

Other than that, thanks for all the great music over the years, Estranged has gotten me through some pretty tough times. And the GN'R shows I saw in Australia in 2007 were the best rock gigs I've ever attended.

The addition of the MTV Unplugged DVD alone makes that a worthy purchase.

Death Magnetic is Metallica's best album in 20 years. I'd call it anything but average.
