#391 Re: Guns N' Roses » Song #2 (Unknown Title) » 897 weeks ago

I don't care if it is Prostitute or not. I think that it's  still a pretty good record either way. Personally I don't hear prostitute. To me it sounds like. "What I would do to have brought you down, myself". It's like he says it to've. Like he's saying "to" and "have" as a conjunction.

It seems like it's getting debated for the wrong reasons though. On one hand you have those who swear it's not prostitute because they think the best is yet to come. Then, on the other hand you have those who want it to be prostitute so they can prove their point that this album is just another record.

I like the song. It's no November Rain or Estranged, but it's still a good song. I can't believe that there's been no word from anybody about the title of the track. You'd think that someone (Axl's monkey boy Bach) would come out and at least tell us the fucking title.:P

I agree with you to an extent. I believe these demos (the new boys), at least their vocals are definately pre '05. I also think that at least one of these "new" songs never made past the demo stage. We won't know for sure until we get that infamous CD.

I think we're making some premature judgements when we don't know any of the songs that will make the final cut or if these "new" demos are even close to final cuts themselves. Check out some some of the UYI demos. Those songs evolved greatly in a few year span, especially vocally.

I like what i've heard. Do they live up to the hype that's been surrounding them for years? No, but look at what they're up against. The bar has been set pretty high by AFD and UYI. I think that's what alot of people were expecting, the next UYI.

You got to keep in mind that we have very little info on these songs (new and the ones from last year) We don't know the dates of these demos ( they could be from around 02 or as I like to call it, the helium era), or how many of these will actually make the final track list. A few of these songs might be rejects that won't make any of the albums.

I think overall that they're good and could definately compete with the stuff that's at the top of the rock charts now. It's no AFD or UYI but I still enjoy them. Even if you hate these new songs, I think there will be something for everyone on CD. I'm still as excited as I was in 1999 tongue.

Great information. Thanks

It seemed like we were so close so many time. I wonder what all the material that ends up on the cutting room floor sounds like.

1.)  Why isn't there any news?

a.)  Because we as fans screwed it up due to all the bitching and moaning last year about set lists from people who never were even in attendance

b.)  It's just a dead year - face it- 2005 all over again

c.)  it's the calm before the "storm"

2.)  What is the "storm"

a.)  a reunion - minus Adler

b.)  CD's release

c.)  More silence

3.)  Why did Axl hire Azoff?

a.)  he liked his portfolio

b.)  he had no choice - no one was actually knocking down doors to represent GNR

c.)  he's the best man for the job

4.)  Will Axl keep Azoff or make him hit the door like Merck?

a.)  not likely, as Azoff is a close friend of Merck's so it's obvious Merck more than likely put in a good word to Azoff about Axl

b.)  yes, he'll get the boot just before Axl has to do a reunion

c.)  Azoff is the only man who can get GNR back on track

5.)  Are you tired of hearing Baz preach about CD?

a.) yes, because he knows that every time he mentions Axl's name, it's free publicity for him and more people will probably read the interview

b.)  no, Baz is genuine

c.)  dcn't care either way

6.)  Will Slash endorse Coke and Axl go with Dr. Pepper?

a.)  not sure but why not

b.)  no, that comment from Slash was tongue in cheek

c.)   yes

1) B, it wouldn't be the first
2) It's definately the announcement of CD and the events that follow. Even those who have claim to have "lost interest" will still fall into the hype. No matter how much of a train wreck this process has been, there is still a solid hardcore fanbase even excluding the forums. It's definately been over hyped but I do feel it will meet fan expectations.

6) B wouldn't be shocked if he were in a coke commercial 21

I'd rather wait (no matter how many more years) for the real thing and only have to fork over $14.99. I could care less about a demo from '99 or a slightly different version of what i've already heard.
