#391 Re: The Sunset Strip » New Pearl Jam coming soon » 641 weeks ago

Same here, I haven't paid attention to them since Binaural, but their last 2 albums, Pearl Jam and Backspacer, got some really great reviews.  I'm planning to give them a listen soon.

The 2013 Confederations Cup will begin June 15, with eight nations from around the world hoping to lay down a marker ahead of the World Cup next summer.

Brazil will play host to both events, and, while much attention has been on the progress of matters off the pitch, the tournament itself threatens to offer a selection of fascinating storylines ahead of the main event next year.

Hosts Brazil will be expected to mount a strong defence of their 2009 crown, but the likes of world champions Spain and Euro 2012 finalists Italy will present the Selecao with formidable competition.

Without further ado, then, let's take a look at the eight nations set to compete for glory this summer.

(Classic Rock) Speculation is increasing that Pearl Jam will be releasing new music soon, with a report that a single from their long-awaited tenth album be will released on July 16.

The speculation came after industry listing site AllAccess.com listed a song called "Mind Your Manners" for launch on that date, but later removed it.

Guitarist Mike McCready recently said the follow-up to 2009?s Backspacer was nearly finished and would be released this year "for sure."

#395 Re: The Sunset Strip » Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!) » 641 weeks ago

(Gibson) The Rolling Stones may be on their 50 and Counting tour, but Keith Richards is polishing a new solo album for 2014. In a new interview with Mojo magazine, Richards says: "I've been cutting stuff with Steve Jordan. For the last couple of years we get together and lay down tracks for a possible album.

"There's some great stuff in the can, we're just polishing things up and waiting for the right time to put it out. Maybe after this year with The Stones."

Steve Jordan is the drummer/multi-instrumentalist who co-produced with Richards in his X-Pensive Winos band. Read more about Keith Richards' solo albums.

In the same Mojo interview, Richards admits "there couldn't be a Rolling Stones without Charlie Watts." He also gives credit to bassist Darryl Jones. "Everybody thinks he's the new boy but he's been with us 20 years. His playing with Charlie is so locked in, I can't think of a rhythm section I've been with, except in the Winos maybe with Steve Jordan and Charlie Drayton, where I've felt that same rapport. I wanna give Mr. Jones his due."

#396 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Kings of Chaos (Supergroup with Ex-GNR and Baz ) » 641 weeks ago

(Classic Rock) Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott says there's a chance that his all star covers band Kings Of Chaos could branch out to create their own material.

Elliott is part of Kings Of Chaos alongside mainman Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke, Duff McKagan, Sebastian Bach, Glenn Hughes and Ed Roland, plus Slash and Myles Kennedy.

Elliott explains: "What a lineup! It's a wonderful experience to work with these guys. They just smile all the time. Everyone has been in a band for 30 or 40 years, and we all have great jokes and stories. Fresh songs come with fresh blood – we may even end up writing songs together. Who knows?"

For hollywood she's a little unusual looking in that she's not a standard sort of glamour model, but I think you guys are getting a bit rough saying she's unattractive.

I think she has that sort of "blonde girl down the street" look about her in that she's got some standard good looking features but is also sort of 'normal' enough looking that you'd actually meet her in a bar and she's not like some famous film star or whatever. Which is ironic given she IS famous...but she's unusual looking to be famous.

So I guess while I'd not purposely lust after her as the ideal fantasy woman, I also think if I was single and met her and we got on well I know I'd be into it.

I think a lot of celbs on her sort of level would seem much hotter in real life than they do on TV. It's like when you meet WWE wrestlers in real life and the guys who looks smaller on TV are actually massive.

In hollywood everyone looks idealised...but in day to day life some girl like this picks up something on the floor in front of me and I'd notice wink

Haha, is notice too. I'd then look her up and down and up again, and move on.  wink.

But I do agree with you, if I got to know her and she had a great personality, sure, as long as she doesn't smell. She looks like she smells, that's a problem for me. Lol.

She's got a nice ass and a rad body. I can put up with her music; but I don't care for it really. I agree on the personality, RaZor. She seems very cool and she's into Hard Rock; but like Fergie she just went pop to get a label. Not a bad thing I suppose. She sung on an Alice Cooper song awhile back which at first you'll say WTF; but then you listen to it and it's not half bad.

@D,I'm on the fence in it, I don't hate it but I'm not sure if I like it. Her voice bothers me a bit. There was a song on her last album, "This Place About To Blow" that I like, and would make a great metal song if it was covered.

@Me_Wise, I don't dislike it because its pop, I don't generally like pop, but I give it a fair chance and I like some. For example, I like Pink, that chick is bad ass. And another pop star that isn't so hot, but her I would definitely poke in the whiskers.

#399 Re: The Sunset Strip » Ke$ha, fuckable? » 641 weeks ago

She's not hot, by a long shot, but I wouldn't call her butt ugly.  She's just plane looking I guess. But she looks dirty, that's what turns me off most. I think I'd fuck her after a few beers, as long as I don't smell any BO.

#400 Re: The Sunset Strip » Bon Jovi Discussion » 641 weeks ago

I think Jon will be able to continue without Ritchie. He owns the name, and at this point in their career, the name will sell albums and tickets.

It's definitely not going to be the same without Ritchie though. Any new music they come out with will definitely have a different feel and sound to it. And it might be good, Jon's solo stuff is pretty good IMO. It's just going to be different, like Van Halen was with Hagar.

Richie on the other hand is going to have a hard time achieving the same level of success on his own, even though the quality of his music will probably be better. But hopefully he'll have enough success as a solo artist that he continues to do it.
