i just think shit like this sometimes ruins the legacy. and i dont ever care to see the old gnr lineup reunite. it would cheapen the legacy and besides those guys walked out on the band and were replaced.. so be it.
Fact is, Zeppelin still kicks ass. Sure, Plant's pipes aren't what they were, but he's a hell of a lot better singer than most of the crap that's out there in the mainstream right now and he's definitely better than poor old Jagger. Same goes for Page vs. Richards. In fact, judging by what I've heard so far, Page kicked big time ass last night. With Richards you can't even tell what song he's playing, which is sad because he came up with so many memorable riffs back in the day. I remember when they were at the Super Bowl a few years ago and they were playing "Start Me Up." I honestly had no idea what it was until Jagger started singing. The riff sounded nothing like it, because poor old Keith has fallen out of one too many palm trees I suppose. Anyway, Zeppelin is still awesome...and they are doing it the right way, with Jason on drums. I have no doubt that it would not happen otherwise. There's simply no one else who can come close to filling the void of rock's most kickass drummer. Jason of course can't fill the technical void but he can at least provide some emotional connection to Bonzo for the other three guys. Anyway, I would consider it a great day if they came here and toured. I would definitely go see it.
And also, Pink Floyd kicked all kinds of ass at Live 8 a couple years ago. That was absolutely incredible, probably the best 25 minutes you'll find anywhere. Gilmour still has the pipes and the chops on guitar. Dude is incredible even though he's "old."

Damn I hope they do a tour. Just so I can say I saw them live.

Communication Breakdown is one of my faves. It's from the first album, and it's just about the loudest damn song ever. LOL. On the other hand, Tangerine and Going To California are two of my favorites...fuck, there's too many favorites. Trampled Underfoot, Stairway, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Whole Lotta Love (best riff ever, holy shit), Heartbreaker, and on and on and on...basically all of their songs are favorites of mine.
There's a little bit of footage in this:

They sound pretty good!

I think they should just let it collapse and try to start over somehow. The main players in the industry obviously aren't smart enough to ensure its future. It may already be too late for a price cut. They've alienated the public for too long with high priced cds and picking and choosing people to sue while tons of others never get in trouble.
Should try a price cut anyways and see if it works.
The ceiling for a blockbuster cd is now only about 3 million. It never rises above that. In most cases it doesn't even come close.
Yeah, they're screwed. They ripped people off in the 80's and 90's with CD's. Technology caught up to them and they didn't handle it very well. They made their bed long ago and now they're laying in it. Payback is a bitch. Consumers are saving money now after they ripped us off for years.

If they decide to do a world tour, it will shatter all tour records, and the records will never be broken.
I think you're right. I know I'd definitely go. I consider it a great negative in my life that I was born in 1985 and never got to see them in their prime. But hey, I also have all this cool technology shit to play with so it kind of balances out.

That's fuckin' hilarious. Glad to know we ruined his forum. He deserves it for crying out loud. He wiped out the ROV forum for a while and then tried to hide the fact that y'all had created a new site. Serves him right that he lost almost all of his membership and is stuck with the GN'R Tube thing.
